Cos me and my mates are sick of staying in gossiping and drinking wine on a Friday night. Why does there seem to be more single women then men??

Well, I had a very good date today (hooray! at last!) from okcupid. Don't be put off by the... err.... weird less suitable ones. Just takes a bit of patience and common sense. Nothing to do with this thread really as it wasn't as a result of my earlier posts, but just a tiny smidge of hope at least?

I'm 47,
brunette,
size small 16, but losing weight.
I'm 5'9" tall,
two Dc's
live in my own mortgaged house,
ride a very large motorbike and drive a car.
No money to spare, so I tend to be either a cheap date or an experimental cook!
I'm looking for a man from age 30 to 55 who is at least 6' tall, solvent and sensible.
I don't mind the child situation or even if there aren't any so long as he doesn't expect me to start producing any for him at my age!
He must accept that my children will always come first in my life. I will happily make room for the right man though :)

Is that too naff?!

I also have a male friend who is single.
He's 51, shy until he gets to know you a bit. Will treat you like a queen though he's not got loads of money. He's solvent, own house, own motorbike, does not drive a car though.
He's not my type and we've know one another for nearly 30 years, so it's not going to happen with us. No, no...but he'd make a great Dp for someone lovely.
He's got one grown up Dc and is a Grandad to one Dc too.

London/Kent borders (as am I).

Nice smile, it's one of the first things I usually notice about men.

He doesn't need to have loads of money or a high flying job. I'd rather have someone kind, caring and considerate. Also atm I don't have loads of money as I'm looking for a job so someone who is willing to do things that don't cost the earth all the time so I can pay my way.

My best friend is single, Id love to find someone for him. Hes 36, 5' 7' solvent, own flat, nice car, in good shape, loves cooking and music and outdoor walking/ nature type stuff (not a twitcher, dont panic) and would love to be a Dad. Hes in the Midlands. He does play golf tho. Any interest, please let me know :)
