Divorce papers served - have I done the right thing?

1000 replies

Wisedupwoman · 18/04/2011 17:46

Had to name change again to be on safe side.
Been posting on other thread - hope followers recognise this.

H gone five weeks ago after second affair in 4 years was discovered by me but not before he gave many, many clues and slip-shod attempts to keep it 'secret' from me. H wanted out and would have known my reaction to finding out hence i think he took this way to force my hand. Heartbroken as long, long relationship with both adult and teenage DC's involved.

Today the divorce papers went to court to be served. The therapist I'm seeing commented that this has been quite quick. This has set up train of thought which goes 'was this my fault, am I assuming too much here about what H really wants, is he such a monster........'

Need ongoing support about this please......

France - that would be crepes then! Sadly that doesn't work for me as I don't eat egg! It's baguettes and cheese all the way (again and again and again - LOL thank god I love bread & cheese!!).

How long were you veggie for?

One day you will see the light again Grin

I will let you know about the sunset later - my sitting room window faces the right direction - it's lovely :)

Hi Saffys and Chipping

I plan to hold a bbq in the summer for my mates who've been so lovely. Will grill you some virtual goodies and send them.

Mediation - from all the research i've done it doesn't get a very good press except in certain circumstances. In our cases it's not the best option, at least not now for me but I wouldn't say never because I might be in a different place in a few weeks time.

I was veggie for about 5 years or so - it got so tricky cooking many different things though that in the end I slipped back but I felt better for it, so I limit my meat and don't really eat red meat unless it's served to me.

Right, off to organise stuff for the morning and put bins out. see you later.

Saffysmum · 08/05/2011 20:48

Well AF, I've been like a giant mushroom for the last year - kept in the dark and fed on bullshit! Give me a springroll anytime (winks). Coconuts - bbq a few big prawns, with a bit garlic and chilli, wrapped in foil) Yumsville!

ChippingIn · 08/05/2011 20:52

AF - with a bit of blue cheese in them.... YUM. I also love camembert done on the BBQ....

Saffysmum Grin ... at least you are out of the dark now and aren't accepting anymore BS and mushrooms are lovely :) But yes... mmmmm spring rolls....

You can all keep the seafood! bleurgh.

MigratingCoconuts · 08/05/2011 20:53

MigratingCoconuts · 08/05/2011 20:54

AnyFucker · 08/05/2011 21:08

saffy, that is sad, but true

I am glad you can kinda "joke" about it

mushrooms and stilton on the bbq...even better, done on one of those wok-type plates

we have a new bbq...it is the bees-knees Smile

Saffysmum · 08/05/2011 21:14

What's a wok type plate AF ( sits back and flicks through her Nigella cookbook) and where does one acquire one?

I've got a bees - knees bbq, it's even better now that the bloke who only burnt stuff on it a few times ever summer has gone. Don't like stilton...smells like his socks (yuk)

AnyFucker · 08/05/2011 21:21

Cadac barbeque

best invention ever for the discerning barbie-er

Saffysmum · 08/05/2011 21:24
