I was so relieved to leave him, but I still deeply love him.

I know though most family and friends will disown me if I do.

Not looking for advice really just needed to say these feelings to someone.

I didn't read it as harsh, i thought she was trying to advise not to dwell on it. There is little ND can do until she next reaches court so best to enjoy her time with her children rather than over thinking things now.
