Laying AnyFucker to rest....

Please forgive this self-indulgent thread, it is only my second in several years, so I am owed one I think Smile

A thread I was on last night made me finally realise that the ridiculously-ballsy caricature of a reputation that goes before
this name was devaluing the message I was trying to convey. It was the gaslighting one, FWIW, but this isn't really about that.

I am not going anywhere, I love MN too much but AF has to go Smile

Just wanted to get it off my chest, and hopefully stop the "where is AF" speculation that sometimes can go along with a prolific poster suddenly stopping posting.

See yas around Smile

I am Angry now and a bit Blush - it would appear that another poster with a spoonerismed name, like Caininthepunt's used to be, has been emailed and told to change hers too. Bah! I really hope that's not because I posted it here and it came to the Tower's attention. Angry:(

tb · 16/02/2011 12:18

Sorry, AF not read through the whole thread, but how about AuldFloosie ?

Better than Aunt Flo, imvvho.

Look forward to seeing the new moniker

love tb

UltimateFucker · 16/02/2011 12:24

Golfer gopher HmmGrin

thumb I doubt it was your post that brought that particular name to their attention.

FuckityFucker · 16/02/2011 12:32

Nope, I'm safe.

For now Grin

That's pretty rubbish though thumbda

thumbdabwitch · 16/02/2011 12:38

tis, isn't it Fuckityfucker. I like the spoonerism names, they're funny and clever - I really don't like the mealymouthed handbag-clutcher response to them! So, I don't know, un-grownup!

thumbdabwitch · 16/02/2011 12:38

I hope not, Ultimatefucker. :(

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 16/02/2011 12:42

Please tell me it's not Bupcakes. I bloody love Bupcakes's name.

UltimateFucker · 16/02/2011 12:50

Cain's name always made me :)

merrywidow · 16/02/2011 13:18

YouKnowNothingoftheFucker · 16/02/2011 13:20

Dunno. Bunch of fuckers.

FuckityFucker · 16/02/2011 13:34

I thank you Grin

FuckoidOrganisoid · 16/02/2011 13:34

Thought I had posted on this yesterday but evidentally not...

Anyhoo, it was something along the lines of me being a bit scared of anyfucker to begin with, purely because of the name. However once I had read a few posts of hers I got over it and have in fact developed a certain fondness for her.

But if she doesn't want to be 'judged' on the name anymore then fair enough and I'm sure we will recognise her good advice even when hidden behind a fluffybunnikins name.

FuckityFucker · 16/02/2011 13:47

That rings a bell with me Fuckoid

I can't wait to see just how fluffy it will be!

I want pink, fluff, bows and ribbons, bubbles, candy and ickle lambs Grin

Let me see....

Thumb - last time I asked if I could say 'je m'en fous' I was told very firmly that I couldn't normally, but would be given special exemption due to the fact it was the person's birthday and they were feeling generous.

Strange, fwiw, the person concerned uses 'putain' like a comma - or perhaps I should say virgule BUT they're a teacher on a course I've been doing Confused

thumbdabwitch · 16/02/2011 13:59

how odd, tb! the websites I have been looking at this evening (apols, I am in Oz so it is night here now) suggest that je m'en fous is not that big a deal although is still obviously crude language; and that although "foutre" is a rude verb, the various forms of it appear to have been diluted in their usage. Putain is not a nice word - but yet, as you say, appears to be used by some as a comma (a bit like "fuck" in The Commitments).

Funny ol' thing, language, innit!
