How often do you see a new boyfriend???

I'm newly back on the dating scene and have been going out with a very nice chap for the last month. Before we officially started going out we were seeing each other for dates so i've known him in total for about 7 weeks.

We've settled into a pattern where we see eachother about twice a week and ring/text the other days.

Does that sound about right for a new relationship??

Yep pretty much.

Sounds normal and sensible.

frazzle26 · 01/11/2010 19:47

I wasn't too sure- I must sound really neurotic lol!!! Just wanted to get another opinion(s)

Going pretty well tbh. Been out with some friends of mine and he's had the seal of approval lol!! We seem to get on really well.

How's it going for you??

He he, it's very easy to do things like that. Texts can be very easily misconstrued!! :-)

What about sex/staying over?

frazzle26 · 01/11/2010 20:32

Hmmm, now there's a question (wink) He has only stayed over twice so far as i have a little boy but we have had sex a few more times than that lol!!

Ah ok!
Same here, its been about 6wks, see him weekends and once or twice during week. Lots of texting! Just had lovely weekend which included nice hotel x

frazzle26 · 01/11/2010 20:57

It's all very fun at the moment. Looking forward to Weds as we're going out for the day (both have day off work) and then in the evening we're going to a comedy club as he has a work night out. Should be good!!

Ah, sounds good.
Have either of you two uttered the "L" word yet?!! Just out of sheer nosiness! I guess its a bit toooooo soon!

allgonebellyup · 02/11/2010 17:14

bump

frazzle26 · 02/11/2010 19:53

No sign of the "L" word yet. I think he's absolutely lovely and really like him and think I could really see things being permenant with us. Would be too shy to say it first though (blush)

I'm in a new relationship myself, just a few weeks and 2/3 times per week seems noral, it'e the fine balance of wanting to see them but ensuring that you also have time to fit in friends/family

SurreyAmazon · 03/11/2010 01:10

It sounds like a reasonable amount of face time to me. If you are happy with it, then I approve!

New relationships are so always exciting; the anticipation, the longing, the heady combination of lust, passion and desire......* sighs*...enjoy!

allgonebellyup · 03/11/2010 07:23

No "L" word here either, my bloke not very outwardly expressive either, mmmwine! but he makes the effort to drive 40 miles to come see me quite a lot, and send massive flowers to my work, so i know (think?!) he likes me a lot, he says he does!

ginnny · 03/11/2010 11:22

I've been seeing my new man for 7 weeks. I see him most nights, we have both said the 'L' word (and meant it). He's absolutely lovely and we just 'click' in every way.
My question is - when does the 'honeymoon' period end? Does it really have to?

I'm so not looking forward to that time when its not new and exciting anymore and we start to notice each others faults and the first arguments and then all the other crap that comes along like in every single relationship I've ever been in!

allgonebellyup · 03/11/2010 11:30

I think it probably fades after around 18mths-3yrs? And certainly once you start living together!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new bloke keeps asking why it is i will never live with him - and i keep explaining that that's when it all starts to go wrong -but he doesnt seem to get it!!

Amusing that we have all been seeing new people for 7wks - must have been something going on in September?!!!

allgonebellyup · 03/11/2010 11:32

ps. We havent said the "L" word yet and i cannot see it coming any time soon!

and have already had a couple of strops/mini arguments!!! Smile

ginnny · 03/11/2010 11:34

Ah so I've got a while yet as long as he doesn't move in!!!
I will know it is serious when I start calling him DP on here instead of New Man!!!
Grin

allgonebellyup · 03/11/2010 18:33

Yes, never let him move in!
