Hello, I'm Mouse. Smile

Welcome to the Brave Babes Bus. You can get on at any point in the journey, there is plenty of room, it's free to ride and there is always someone who will be along to hold your hand over the speedbumps!

So, no matter where you are in your quest to quit the booze, join us for support, advice and a fair few laughs along the way Grin

There is no judging, no cliques, just real poster with real problems being real and honest!

Come and meet the others.....

Here is the previous thread where you can read all of the threads so far, including JWN's original thread and the reason we are all here.

hmmm didn't display the specific one but it gives you the general idea Wink

venusandgunpowder · 05/11/2010 17:23

looks like a good idea diabolik

venusandgunpowder · 05/11/2010 17:36

this is my drug of choice for tonight - especially after a chilly trip out to watch fireworks.

Mousefawkes · 05/11/2010 17:53

I've just put a load of southern style chicken breasts in the oven.

Then it's wrap up, water proof, grab the torches and off down to the bottom of the paddock to light the giant bonfire.

Thing is, with all the building work we are having, it's like a bloody bomb site before you get anywhere near the garden!!!

Should be fun getting the pushchair over it all! Grin

venus - hot chocolates here too when we get in. Did you like my idea re the design woman? Get her to price match?

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 18:08

Evening all - my 2 Dc's have decided it's be mean to mum night - all attitude and hormones Sad

desiretochange · 05/11/2010 18:13

Boys or girls Witchety?

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 18:14

One of each - I know it's just normal teenage behaviour, but it's hard when I get all the grief and their dad gets none.

desiretochange · 05/11/2010 18:16

You separated from their dad?

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 18:18

yes - for over 2 years - I know I'm biased but he's a complete arse. I don't think that they think he is wonderful, but he gets none of the rudeness - and if he does anything for them they are really grateful.

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 18:19

Sorry - just moaning, sometimes it just washes over me and sometimes it gets to me. Need to head out soon to taxi.

desiretochange · 05/11/2010 18:21

Totally understand what you are saying witchety, I have been separated for best part of 13 years, never received a penny in maintenance, which my children don't see as strange Confused, I know that it's me that is there for all their highs but I am also there when they are hormonal, stuck for money, in bad humour etc etc.
Not flipping easy:(

desiretochange · 05/11/2010 18:23

Enjoy your night Witchety

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 18:25

No maintenance -that's hard - and insulting. I do really struggle with the double standards that my 2 have with me and their dad. It's OK for him to be seeing someone, in fact they think she's great - even though he was having an affair with her when we were married - but if I so much as look at someone they get really angry and nasty with me.
He can let them down at the last minute if he gets a better offer, but I'm not allowed to back out of any plans made.

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 18:26

Off to ferry DC's about,
thanks desire

desiretochange · 05/11/2010 18:29

Night Witchety off to visit friend (non alcholic one:)) Hope everyone has a safe and sober evening, "see" ye all tomorrow!

Mousefawkes · 05/11/2010 18:39

Quick rant.

Absent, non paying fathers (who choose to be such) are a drain on valuable oxygen as far as I am concerned, and should all be put together on a deserted island, with a 100 foot high, electrified, barbed wire fence around, containing every last one of the worthless feckwits.

And breath Mouse, breath. Grin

Off out for fireworks now. I managed to eat half a piece of chicken. And a whole piece of toast today.

These ABs are great for losing weight. NOT!!

Have a great night all.

jesuswhatnext · 05/11/2010 19:03

evening all!!, am sat here listening to the distant sounds of fireworks - i love them but dh has come home poorly so im playing nurse this evening (o er missus! Grin, bit dissapointed as i was going to be all sultry and seductive ths evening! Wink

btw - it would be interesting to see how many of us babes have experience of the non-paying, disapearing scum-bag! Angry, wtf is with these men?, i could no more walk away from my child than walk on water! at the last count, based on what the csa said, dds father owes me about £110 thousand! Shock, wont hold me breath for that!!

witchety - sorry you are getting such a hard time at the moment, its so unfair!!!, i have no real advice, just wanted you to know i was thinking of you!!

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 20:40

Thanks JWN - it's all Ok really - you know hw teenage moods are - one minute you are the complete villain, the next everything is OK. DS is with his dad and DD is watching TV with me...so all calm after the storm.

dementedma · 05/11/2010 20:52

evening all. Just back from firework display with DS1 - cold, wet and tired. have had a hot chocolate and will be going to bed soon.
This is my second night in a row without alcohol - I can't believe it, or remember the last time I managed this.
4 weeks on the bus and I have more or less got the hang of the alternate nights, and now up to two in a row. My weekly units must be dropping by now.

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 20:54

Fantastic news ma - and you can keep building up the alcohol free nights from here. Smile

Evening babes

Just got in after really looooong day at work (outside in the rain) and accused DP of doing revoltingly smelly s*t in bathroom only to discover the cat was LITERALLY s*t scared of fireworks so he couldn't go outside to do the business and used the bath mat instead

I feel soooooo sick.[puke icon]

just felt the need to share that ....as always Grin xxxxx

witchetychicky · 05/11/2010 21:43

I'm in trouble with DD - I didn't get the demon cat in before the fireworks and he hasn't come home Grin oops I meant Sad
