Spoilers thread for The Archers. All Archers listeners are welcome here, whether you post on our main Archers thread or not. There's just one rule: please keep all spoiler-related discussion in this thread and do not spill the beans on the main Archers thread.

We usually add the BBC teasers and cast lists for forthcoming episodes as they become available, plus the Radio Times and other previews when possible. Feel free to add anything else you come across, e.g. cast news, scriptwriter tweets!

Thank you as ever @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g

Really sad news about Herc. So young ...

Treetreetreetree · 05/06/2026 18:51

@Cocachanel I know so very sad. He lost his wife in December so his poor children have lost their parents very close together.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/06/2026 19:24

Thanks for that, @FatRosie! I'll do a full round up later in the weekend if I remember.

OP posts:
FatRosie · 05/06/2026 19:33

You are welcome, @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g . It's a cut down version for convenience.
I'm about to listen to tonight's episode after being asked to move my car by annoying NDN and in doing so I moved into the space outside my house just as other NDN was about to pull into it. On street parking and one NDN thinks he has the right to park outside his house.
'Twould never happen in Ambridge - not yet anyway. Wait until the horsebox is outside Helen's new house.

Gonners · 05/06/2026 19:38

21/06 Ian has a controversial brainwave

Are they suggesting that Ian has a brain?

Agapornis · 05/06/2026 22:20

Gosh - fingers crossed they recorded a few Robin Fairbrother scenes after Rex hinting at a visit.

It looks very quiet on Anthony Head's iMDb for the last few years, so maybe they've recast? (presume he's deliberately not on the cast list either way)

Look forward to hearing the awful things George has done to Keira.

Poppins2016 · 06/06/2026 08:30

I'm also looking forward to hearing Keira (it's a shame she wasn't introduced slightly earlier...).

BoreOfWhabylon · 06/06/2026 18:08

Thanks as always @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g Flowers

TottersBlankly · 07/06/2026 06:13

Thank you for the new thread, @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g.

A few more titbits, courtesy of the two different Mustardland boards:

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 7-12 June
The wars over Home Farm appear as intractable as the Middle East and are also starting to pull in its neighbours. This week Ed is encouraged to take sides and Martyn Gibson, tired of the squabbling, offers an ultimatum over the BL contract. It may seem like a peace plan, but Brian has one final trick up his sleeve, which could sour relations for ever. Pip considers her future health options, Helen has an offer for Tracy, and Amber has a dilemma.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update - June 7th-12th 2026
Pip faces some difficult decisions, Ed Grundy becomes the centre of attention, and it's last chance saloon at Home Farm.

Apologies if Gasp0de posted this a while back, but here is Ambridge Diary for next week (13-19 June):

'Ukko 'ullo, PC Trueman is back on the Ambridge beat, which doesn't bode well when Adam unleashes a hurtful and personal revenge on Brian. The beleaguered Home Farm head honcho is getting it in the neck from all sides, as Miranda makes her feelings felt and Kate makes an error that may send her dad truly gaga. At Brookfield, David, Pip and Alistair face disaster after a heartbreaking battle, which George and Amber are on different pages when looking to the future.

Thanks, @Madcats! That's all new to me. Goodness. A veterinary incident, I assume.

They were looking at which cows were pregnant earlier this week. Might it be the cows aborting the foetus?

FatRosie · 11/06/2026 16:44

11/06 Stella makes a big declaration, and Helen eagerly anticipates an answer.
Fingers crossed Stella tells Pip that she most definitely doesn't want a child or a step-child.

Thanks @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g . Is it too much to hope that Ruth has the genetic test and it puts the kibosh on TWFL's wedding plans?

ednaclouda · 12/06/2026 07:33

How thick must Adams hide be
Brian is going to seriously sabotage Home farms main money supply

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 12/06/2026 11:37

I do hope Oliver Turner has ever actually listened to The Archers.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/06/2026 16:46

Hello, Asking! Been away or struggling to maintain an interest? I'm rather in that position myself. Certainly not all that enthused by Pip's dilemma, I'm afraid.

OP posts:
AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 12/06/2026 17:01

Went on holiday and couldn't be bothered to catch up, so I have heard none of the episodes since the beginning of May. I know nothing of what has been going on since then, except for a vague general feeling from the spoilers that if it is possible to be a complete little shitehawk Adam is probably doing so.

TottersBlankly · 12/06/2026 17:06

Presumably this Oliver Turner and not the Amazon bestselling motivational speaker one?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 12/06/2026 17:33

I have no idea; I would just like it if he knew a bit about the programme he is writing for, rather than approaching his week as an afternoon play cut into six parts and featuring people with names coincidentally the same as those of characters from a long-running programme called "The Archers".

TottersBlankly · Yesterday 04:22

If it is that writer I’m curious about what they have planned.

Hmm … Two pregnancies currently, one with a very young mother, the other much older. They surely won’t repeat the Bethany Tucker storyline - but it wouldn’t be unreasonable for one of the two births (if they get that far) to lead to a child with health or developmental issues.

(Alternatively this new writer might do one week and never be heard from again. He certainly doesn’t mention being a lifelong Archers fan in anything I’ve seen so far - so I don’t anticipate much skilful interweaving of established characters in new situations.)

FatRosie · Yesterday 19:10

1/7/26 ...and Kirsty has the rug pulled from under her. I hope that's something good not anything bad.

Two pregnancies currently, one with a very young mother, the other much older. Isn't Amber about the same age as George (21)? That's not very young, although quite a bit younger than average.
