Radio Times Ambridge Diary 5-10 January
Leonard is knocked sideways by some emotional news and all does not go well when he faces a difficult day with the Brookfield family standing by his side. Harrison has to fight to keep his emotions in check when he faces a challenging callout, but then receives a surprising offer from his superior. Lily takes matters into her own hands when Brad tells her he's struggling, Jolene makes a rash decision at The Bull, and Khalil's mouth runs away with him.

12th January – 17th January 2025
12.1 Justin faces a dilemma, and plans forge ahead for Ruth.
13.1 Joy isn’t herself at all, and Helen considers her options.

I have to say there aren't too many very young presenters. But I do know Cara and Nicola would be very pleased they'd lured another person into following their Academic ambitions.
And I'm not sure if sessions will be recorded although I suspect most will be and apart from those being broadcast on various Podcasts, will be released somehow later.
And there are big hopes for an in person one at Warwick University next year. ( it was just too big a financial risk this year.)

Ah I've found out who Celia is/was.

Back in 2023, Bridge Farm had to re-tender to continue supplying Grey Gables with cheese. Adil (hopeless interim manager of Grey Gables) decided that Helen's cheese was naff and planned to order Cordwell Cream (hard cheese) from Celia Sparrow from Fawcett Magna (who was really nice, we were told).

A few weeks later Helen planned to exhibit her Sterling Gold cheese at the Borsetshire Rural Food Fair. Cordwell Cream is also being exhibited. Lulu Duxford (of the infamous Soeurs Heureuses fame) could no longer judge as she was sat in A&E following a gardening injury, so Helen was asked to join the judging panel. Recognising Celia's cheese, she marked it down to prevent it from getting a super-gold award. Ian sussed what she was up to and called her out.

I'm not sure that Celia has ever spoken (and she certainly wouldn't have been around for the judging).

Thanks to the Ambridge Reporter website and "edit - find" function, I can reveal:

Helen has enjoyed doing the judging, and her results seem more or less to tally with the other judges; she tastes cheese number five, which Ian reckons has a good chance, and has done pretty well across the board apart from Helen's marks. She didn't rate it; the aroma was fine, but Ian is staggered to see that she didn't like the taste, and wants to know why not. She just didn't: she didn't get any sense of place, and found it quite bland. Ian realises what is wrong with it: Helen knows as well as he does that cheese five is Cordwell Cream, the cheese that Adil's keen on for Grey Gables. In faux innocence, Helen asks, 'Is it?' and Ian assures her that it is, and what's more she is marking it down on purpose to stop it from getting super-gold; she's sabotaging the competition. She asks whether he has any idea how ridiculous he sounds, then when he tells her judges have to be completely unbiased accuses him of mansplaining cheese judging to her. She then patronisingly breaks it down for him: she tasted the cheese, she didn't think it was that great, she marked it accordingly. He sighs.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 9-14 February
Disaster strikes at the heart of one of Ambridge's key farms and as the family face a battle they can't hope to win, it's clear this will drag in many other residents. Lynda offers charity but is unprepared for the drama that follows. Azra faces a family emergency, Khalil is caught in an uncomfortable situation and a guilt-ridden Zainab makes an upsetting discovery. Fallon has problems with Jolene at The Bull and there's a sad goodbye for one resident.

I am amused to note that until this morning the BBC spoiler given on their website for yesterday was
"Pat is on the warpath, and Fallon discovers a surprising truth."
but this has now been changed to
"Helen counts the cost, and Fallon discovers a surprising truth."

I wonder who pointed out to them that Pat didn't speak yesterday, and as far as I remember wasn't even mentioned. I also wonder where "Pat is on the warpath" is going to fit in.

Just listening to last night’s episode and did wonder how the Pat comment fitted in. 39 seconds left and no sign of her.
