Radio Times Ambridge Diary 5-10 January
Leonard is knocked sideways by some emotional news and all does not go well when he faces a difficult day with the Brookfield family standing by his side. Harrison has to fight to keep his emotions in check when he faces a challenging callout, but then receives a surprising offer from his superior. Lily takes matters into her own hands when Brad tells her he's struggling, Jolene makes a rash decision at The Bull, and Khalil's mouth runs away with him.

12th January – 17th January 2025
12.1 Justin faces a dilemma, and plans forge ahead for Ruth.
13.1 Joy isn’t herself at all, and Helen considers her options.
14.1 Rex is left confused, and Neil has questions.

I was surprised that someone - was it Kate or Brian - was wondering whether Noli and Sipho would fly over, and mentioned that it was ‘expensive’. They’re Aldridges - how could there possibly not be money for them to attend?

Matt was briefly on the podcast (Hay festival edition), does he have any history deceiving Peggy? (I missed much of his antics, new inconsistent listener at the time).

Am quite looking forward to Hugh Dennis.

Rex didn't leave but it might be Toe B. Maybe that's why the reference to parenting problems for Pip.

No big update today as I've posted the RT for next week above and the BBC teasers for the week beginning 22nd June are all 'Contemporary drama in a rural setting'. This may be because there is something big coming, or it may just mean nobody remembered to put in the real teasers this week. We shall see.

Is it Chris who rents Hazel’s flat, with the oh so steep steps?

Yes. Previous tenants were Tom'n'Tash, and Helen who had Annette staying there. A box room was converted to a nursery for the Sweet Baby Cheesus.

So, the returning resident was a preggo Feebs then.

I didn't see that coming, but it makes sense in terms of prolonging the Aldridge bloodline.

But Hazel was there if silent

I still don't see why. Who invited her, and why? Everyone detests her, and she was not related to Peggy.

Justin faces a drama of his own when he reveals his latest scheme at the BL board meeting, catching an innocent bystander in the crossfire. Kate is also caught in the middle, having volunteered to plan the Archers/Aldridges family holiday. Pip has a parenting crisis, Alice reveals her feelings and there's staffing trouble at The Bull.
