All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you think Steph Casey is a wonderful addition to the programme, or similar odd views.

But I’m fondly remembering the Christmas season when both Jenny and Debbie were contemplating unfaithful husbands …

@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g , Vickoi was 47 IIRC when Bethany was conceived. Ruth, Jennydarling and Kathy became pregnant in their 40s.
According to my quick research, the likelihood is about 5% compared to 45% in your 20s, but that doesn't seem to take in the mysterious youthfulness of Ambridge-dwellers.

In that Guardian article, June Spencer points out that Jack left all his money to Hazel, not Peggy. I presume she is correct?

Maybe all the money's gone so The Lodge will have to be sold!

Or, if Piggoi goes into The Laurels, it's sold to pay the fees.

I don't really think there's a wee Trazzer on the way. More likely she hates her job, and hey presto, Natasha realises that having 2 babies is not going to mean a quick return to Summer Orchard and she needs someone reliable to cover.

I predict no Laurels but that Peggy will die quietly and peacefully in her sleep sitting in her armchair with Hilda watching over-Kate or Tony will discover her.

I am sure June is lovely but good riddance to Peggy!

I don't think I've ever heard Marjorie Antrobus speak.

Christine Barford stopped speaking just after Fag Ash Lil's slime ball Matt took all her money but as far as we know the character is still alive.

And Peggy's been paying Auntie Cardboard's fees at The Laurels, but I don't think any of the family know that.

You missed a treat if you never heard Marjorie speak, she (and The Gals) were formidable in their time!

I love Peggy. She's so well acted and gets good lines.
I also loved Marjorie Antrobus and Julia Pargetter and her sister Ellen

Peggy has had some great lines over the years. Her 'only when it suits you dear' to Kate has stuck in the mind. And I'm glad she made up with Tony and told him how much she thought of him before her last scene. Hopefully they'll give her a good send off
