Thanks to witchmountain for the last thread and to dadx3 for Godfathering them! Also to any other posters whose ideas I have borrowed for the title.

The episode tonight was ludicrous. Of all the things which need planning for the Hunt ball the seating plan is the last by a country mile. Everything else is tickety boo then? Food, menus, waiting staff, kitchen staff?

And why would the owners of the venue get to decide on the seating plan anyway?

I said MOST men Baxter IME it is the case, obviously we all have different life experiences. My father was an example; he could be kind and charming but outside the home he had 3 or 4 women on the go. ALL the time we only discovered that on his death, along with his children (who we hadn't heard of) he had at that time (my dm has left him thank goodness) , a mistress who tried to disinherit us all!

NotdeadyetBOING - reckon you're spot on about Lexi and that she's trying to let Roy down gently. If she is pregnant, which I think is likely, I don't think she'll be emotionally able to give the baby to Adam and Ian, even allowing that they might want a baby of hers which is not either of theirs.
Also, I'm afraid Lily is going to be attached to the douche-bag for a lot longer than this - until he finds someone else wealthier to batten on whilst he pursues his artistic "career" (speaking from vicarious experience).

But Lexi's still stringing Adam along, it's unlike her. Yes Bolleaux a good reason for all the drama is that she's either pregnant anyway by her ex or another boyf. She hasn't slept with Woy on this visit has she?

I had forgotten my password, so had to go through an addiitonal procedure to reset and then use the new one to delete. But now it's done!

I don't think Lexi is pregnant or that she's met someone else. I think she just wants to go home, or at the very least spend a lot more time there, and hasn't considered the possibility that Roy would move out there. Which is fair enough given that he hasn't ever offered to.

I wonder if the actor who plays Roy wants to leave, and this is a way of writing him out.

They both have children and families to consider. I don't remember any conversations about how it would all work long term and who would go where, just the short term return of Lexi to the UK.

Yes I thought that. I was deeply impressed by the heroic position of the middle aged man unable to cope without a young girl to look after him but apparently the 80+ Lewis can take on Geraldine's role.

He is such a whiny git, for that alone he should be written under a bus or similar.

The new Lexi is getting on my nerves as she's so out of character. Pre-return Lexi was assertive and dealt with problems creatively and head-on - she wasn't an avoider and wouldn't have kept her issues so mysterious for so long.

And re: Hannah, I reckon slow and stable Neil will get the better of her in his own stealthy way, and then her shell will crack, she'll share her sad past, and she'll be somehow redeemed (and marry Tom).

Spot on. All that "it's so difficult etc, etc" made no sense coming from Lexi. I really liked her. She was sharp, funny and acerbic and they've turned her into a moaning wet weekend.

Re. Hannah- I think Susan is lulling Neil into a false sense of security as a plot device to give Hannah more time to undermine him. And sorry to keep banging the same drum, but it’s driving me mad that we don’t know what Lily is supposed to be studying. If it was business management or somesuch then her time at LL could be considered part of her course. Whatever it is I think she will end up dropping out to run LL (and get away from Russ).

Hands up anyone who thinks Lily really did contact her course tutor about taking a couple of days off, as she claimed to her grandma.
