No, that's not a jokey exaggeration, this is really the 93rd thread in a series started by PseudoBadger five years ago! In fact, post number 90,000 in the "official" count will be made on this thread.

Lovers of The Archers welcome (along with the rest of us who have a more complicated relationship with the "TA" ).

One rule we try to stick to: No mentioning of future episode plotlines published in the Radio Times etc. However, once an episode has aired, say what you like!

What is going to happen to Freddie? And are we ever going to hear from Lily again?
I also am wondering what it will take for Kenton to apologise to Fallon...

Admittedly the drugs swoop at college wasn't very realistic, its never happened like that at any college I know - we don't have the police resources. Even when told where a dealer will be every day. They do swoop on Farms and large stockpiles, but every day dealing...
I do know of one case where this happened at a school but can't say any more 'for legal reasons' etc.

I thought Kenton was quite true to character, he is almost always headstrong, his lack of understanding of Freddie’s crime & the awkward position Harrison was placed in are typical. He’s a thoughtless oaf.

Yes, he's inconsistent too. He got really annoyed when Toby wanted to do gin tasting sessions in the pub as he was worried he'd lose his own licence - probably a reasonable concern - but drug dealing is OK & the police should ignore it if it's a member of your family?

DDD I like the fact that FatherThread would still reference your original name (albeit in the singular form) - rather like posters who name change for halloween or Christmas.

I know we moan about hannah being unpleasant but does Kenton have any redeeming characteristics.

Kenton is not in full possession of the facts - it looks as though they are about to come out. If Freddie had been caught dealing in the Bull and it had been he and Jolene who lost their licence he might also have taken a different view. I did think Fallon's comment was a bit tactless - it worked out for the best that Freddie was arrested so they had a better DJ at their wedding.

Well he's childlike , a lot of men don't grow up, that's not very redeeming though for 60 year old is it? He has settled down with Jolene nicely and seems to run The Bull quite well. He can be persuaded to calm down eventually (as with David).

I'd actually forgotten he was 60 - I never picture him as 60, he just doesn't seem like a 60-year-old. I need to recompute.

I’ll second the question about the aggro between Hannah and Emma. I haven’t kept up lately and didn’t know what it was all about.

I make a small wager that the "date" who didn't turn up didn't exist. She is very manipulative in her dealings with people.

Hannah. Pip is extremely annoying but not actively malicious. Hannah is mad and potentially dangerous.

Yes I think I agree. Pip is mind numbingly self-centred and horrible toward Josh but no, I don't think she would be so calculating, manipulative and nasty.

I'm wondering now if Hannah is to be the new Rob chasing after an Archer with a farm in addition to her vindictive campaign against the Carters. I don't buy the house being the reason for her constant needling of Emma - anyone with two brain cells knows that a new, single arrival is going to be way down the list compared to a local born and working young family.

When you say it's the writing with Pip - surely the writing is the character?
