As Frilly stress Lizzy out, did the SWs forget her heart defect? Will there be long term llama drama karma in The Archers?

I don't think Lily will disappear to set up home with Russ. It will all come crashing down as TA has to show that a teacher knobbing one of their students is not on. We always knew Rob would be found out it's the same with Russ.

drspouse · 13/09/2018 09:15

(Presumably Phoebe knows about Ellis?)

CarefullyDrawnMap · 13/09/2018 09:15

I agree, she's being unfairly unpleasant to Fallon.
Russ seems so childish and useless but probably is calculating enough to try and sell the picture too. If he genuinely loved Lily he would let her go off to university on her own and take a step back.

TigerTeatimes · 13/09/2018 09:18

I think Lilly's attitude to Fallon is there to show that although things have been divided between them they present a united front. She's laying it on too thick to be believable though

Just because you've got a stately home doesn't mean you've got lots of actual cash^
^
I thought it was quite the reverse, if you have a stately home you have no money. Those things are just a black hole of spending.

echt · 13/09/2018 09:27

Exactly, Gersemi. Volte face or what??

Thinking of Johnneh, he's the Jon Snow in all of this isn't he?

R4 · 13/09/2018 09:30

Liliy is doing to Fallon what Fallon is doing to Kenton, only a bit more obviously and childishly.
Fallon should tread carefully: Lily's place in the First Family is more solid than hers.

CarefullyDrawnMap · 13/09/2018 09:32

How so, Jon Snow? (Like how now brown cow, but different)
I thought Jon Snow was a newsreader?

CarefullyDrawnMap · 13/09/2018 09:34

It was poignant when Harrison said he's seen too often how family rifts can become entrenched. Possible forshadowing.

LillianGish · 13/09/2018 09:37

I still think Russ’s wife could turn out to be pregnant- one of the reasons his parents are fussing round her. He’s passed it off as ‘one of her turns’ - we don’t know what that actually means.
Re the nonsense on Tuesday, definitely an episode that fits better in the context of the omnibus rather than as a stand-alone, though I
did half wonder if the SW weren’t referencing Northumberland and the Home Farm sale with Jim’s excuse that Jazzer was thinking of leaving Ambridge - so preposterous it couldn’t be true (rather like the aforementioned plots).

QuaterMiss · 13/09/2018 09:39

But wait! Speaking of family rifts - the viper aka Kate is still living in the house she’s forcing her parents to sell, isn’t she?

Do think the SWs could write Brian and Jenny a backbone to share. Angry

JessieMcJessie · 13/09/2018 10:22

Game of Thrones @CarefullyDrawnMap.

CarefullyDrawnMap · 13/09/2018 11:36

Ah, righty-oh, thank you Smile

ppeatfruit · 13/09/2018 11:50

GOT a dirty old man's fantasy performed on screen. Yeuch. (I say that with inside knowledge).

BOOP for Freddie with the horses.

Fallon's got too much sense to let the disagreement get blown out of proportion esp. as Harrison is being more sensible than she is
about the reason. Lily is sounding like the little girl she thinks she isn't Grin

TigerTeatimes · 13/09/2018 12:59

LillianGish Isn't that a fairly common line? My friend was being cheated on, the chap was telling his mistress that my friend was mentally unstable so it wasn't the right time, he had to go home to her etc. Luckily the women met up and compared notes when it all came out. That's probably why I assume this is what Russ is doing.

TigerTeatimes · 13/09/2018 13:01

Quartermiss Jenny said she wanted to sell to avoid a family rift so it wouldn't make sense to kick Kate out. They're doing all this to keep her close.

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 13/09/2018 13:11

I don't agree, ppeatfruit. There's a lot more to Game of Thrones than the sex and violence, most of which would anyway be characteristic of the pre-industrial feudal society it portrays. Admittedly the dragons aren't. Grin

ppeatfruit · 13/09/2018 13:27

Tiger I assumed that there was a lot more to GOT (it couldn't have been SO popular if it was just the S&V or could it? ) but I couldn't get past the underage lesbian sex fgs.

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 13/09/2018 13:45

I don't think the Westeros legal code includes an age of consent!

LillianGish · 13/09/2018 14:03

Good point Tiger - I’ve lost count of the number of divorced men I’ve met whose first wives were mentally unstable. I’d just quite like her to be pregnant because I think that might be the one thing which would make Lily see what a dishonest shit Russ is.

Gersemi · 13/09/2018 14:06

Lily needs a conversation with Helen. Knob's explanation for his problems with both Helen and Jess was always that they were mentally unstable, God forbid that it could be anything to do with him. It sounds as if Russ is reaching for the same excuse.

birdsdestiny · 13/09/2018 14:23

I don't know if even his wifes pregnancy would be enough for Lily to realise her mistake. It was a one off, she begged me to show her some affection, I had to do it in case she found out about us, blah de blah.
Lily needs to find out she is not the first student he has done this to.

drspouse · 13/09/2018 14:51

I don't know if even his wifes pregnancy would be enough for Lily to realise her mistake.
Well, it would if he went back to the wife I assume?
But if this complaint were about another student rubs hands in glee

LassWiADelicateAir · 13/09/2018 16:14

I hope someone points out to Johnny that not reporting Ellis (that's his name) is withholding evidence and he could be arrested

Neither Johnny or Pheobe have any legal obligation to report Ellis. They cannot be arrested for not telling the police- either about Ellis or Freddy.

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 13/09/2018 16:49

I don't think Phoebe knows about Ellis, but I could be misremembering.

QuaterMiss · 13/09/2018 19:16

Oh. Dear. No-one should ever say “never” in soap-land.

And will Tom be fiddling those figures?
