Just look at the opportunity she’s missed for a really splendid, witty and meaningful name. And the no-effort-whatsoever, soggy shearing, wet weekend of a name she’s chosen. (Apologies to anyone owning this name in RL. I bet your parents used more imagination to choose it.)

Have the BBC painted themselves into a corner? The programme is about the residents of Ambridge, principally the farmers of Brookfield. It is called The Archers. They started off easily enough with the patriarchy but have now hit a bump with feminism. They got round it once (Pip) by having her be a single mum and retain her maiden name but she has now given birth to another female. Will RR also have to be another unmarried mother, marry but retain her maiden name, not be 'the future of Brookfield' so cede to a younger brother, marry an Archer cousin?
How will it pan out? Do they change the name of the programme, the longest running soap in the world (as if you needed reminding)?
