So it’s taken a sad, untimely death to bring me out of retirement. How I have missed you all Flowers

I did actually really like Brian’s pep talk to Alice.

Steamcloud · 01/03/2018 10:18

*Jenesuispasvotremiel" if I have the correct episode, I think Alice said "Grr, I could kill whoever dumped poison on our land".

Steamcloud · 01/03/2018 10:18

Sorry, emboldening fail there!

Bakedappleflavour · 01/03/2018 11:11

The episodes since Nic died have been pretty dull imo. Pip being her usual insufferable self.

The Lexi surrogacy storyline is tedious beyond belief.

StarsBrokenAgain · 01/03/2018 11:27

Also did not enjoy last night. Envy

Except Brian's pep talk. Was nice to hear him being a father.

GnotherGnu · 01/03/2018 11:48

If they want to keep Brian's involvement with the poisoning secret, Jennifer's suggestion that they tell the children was insane. They couldn't possibly rely on Kate to keep quiet, and Alice might well broadcast it after a bottle or two of wine.

Puremince · 01/03/2018 12:51

I'm not surprised Jennifer is acting oddly. Her granddaughter's father's girlfriend is going to be the surrogate mother of her future grandchild.

What if, after the baby is born, Roy and Lexi get married. Phoebe and the new baby would be both half cousins and step siblings. Or does the fact that they are using a donor egg mean that the situation is even more complicated?

From Roy's point of view, his girlfriend is planning to carry his daughter's uncle's child.

If I was Jennifer I wouldn't know how to react either!

BertrandRussell · 01/03/2018 14:07

Blimey- I didn’t think of the link with Phoebe.......

But I still don’t think Jennifer would be such a complete wazzock. And all that innuendo was just tasteless and unpleasant.

Gruach · 01/03/2018 16:46

I do think Jennifer might have mentioned MN by name. After all the storylines we’ve given them. HmmGrin

Unbelievably inept.

Aw, cut them a bit of slack. Quite a lot going on.

Agreed. Poor all of them.

CallYourDadYoureInACult · 01/03/2018 19:24

I was completely dry eyed when Nic shuffled off.

But had a little sob when Ed told Will he was his brother and not going anywhere.

Also I agree with everything Will said about joe. Finally, someone has called him out

MrsGrindah · 01/03/2018 19:42

How can you think Joe is useless? He loved Nic and tried to soothe her as she died? Broke my heart listening to that

Abra1de · 01/03/2018 19:44

I agree—Joe was wonderful with Nic. He couldn’t possibly have known she was going to die so quickly.

JessieMcJessie · 01/03/2018 19:58

Will actor doing really well I think.

Butteredparsn1ps · 01/03/2018 19:58

Will’s just so angry though isn’t he? And angry with those he feels safest to be angry at. It’s a bit of a grief cliche, but that doesn’t make it less realistic.

Most of all he feels guilty. Guilty that Nic has died and guilty for not being there.

PseudoBadger · 01/03/2018 20:06

Good episode tonight (except for the Dopeys). Will ain’t heavy - he’s his brother.

I've got to p26.
William was names after Prince William. George Grundy was named after George Barford.

I'm shocked that Helen stabbed Rob whilst on the tram to work. I thought it was in the kitchen at Besom Hell Cottage.

Bakedappleflavour · 01/03/2018 20:15

Fx pip's hang glider crashes

Alleycat1 · 01/03/2018 20:37

BakedapppleOne can only hope!

MikeUniformMike · 01/03/2018 20:40

I thought Will was well acted too.
It is snowing heavily in Ambridge but Toe Bee and Ruth secretly want Pip dedded. Hence no tropical insert.

BikingBeatrix · 01/03/2018 20:52

IMO the donor egg makes the surrogacy situation much simpler. It means the baby has no genetic link with Lexi. Having a genetic link with Phoebe via Adam is neither here nor there. That‘s just normal. In a small village especially. If Lexi sticks around - l hope she does - she‘ll see the child around the village, might well have a special affection for him/her, but she won’t officially be a parent.

Poor old Joe. I wonder what he‘ll say to this. I expected Ed or Emma to be shouted at, at some stage, just didnt expect Joe to get it. Yet, considering what‘s just happened and Will‘s normally cheerful disposition, it was almost inevitable.

BikingBeatrix · 01/03/2018 20:54

I agree Willyum‘s actor is doing well. Tonight‘s episode almost made up for last night‘s tosh.

Mootsie · 01/03/2018 21:01

Poor old Joe. None of them seems to care that he must have had a terrible shock - other than Neil.

Aren't there some kind of insurance rules that prevent pregnant women from having jolly little trips in gliders in sub zero temperatures?
