I can't raise any excitement or outrage at Brookfield. The SWs seem to have got themselves into a mess. On what planet would OFS depend entirely on Pip's permission? And the fawning after al the disaster she's caused!

I was pleased to hear (whenever it was, am reduced to bits of Film and the odd evening) Jolene reasserting herself. Someone must have had a word and reminded the writing team that it's her pub.

I wanted to strangle odious Pip trying to get her own way about OFS.

I regularly want to strangle Pip, but it does remind me of how Deeavid was always GoldenBalls when he was younger. My DM tells me that he became GB when it was apparent that he was the male child who was likely to stay on the farm. Same with Pip minus the sex assumptions.

I am steeled for years of Pip coming up roses whatever stunts she pulls.

It's bizarre reading your comments before I LA to yesterday's. Dave was obviously being 'funny' about Pip's move not 'anguished'. She didn't get her way about Farm Sunday. Surely it's good to discuss matters pertaining to the farm? Though Josh and Ben should've been in on the discussion too.

I don't think that the 'low milk yields' have anything to do with being a bad farmer; they care about animal welfare (part from the IBR blip) so
don't keep their cows inside and in calf all year.

As for Lil having a character change ! She's a jealous woman , and can be a beatch where HER men are concerned, remember her bad treatment of Brenda when she had gone out with a toy boy of Lil's?

I agree it's not out of character for Lillian. She has no respect for other women and assumes they all behave the way she does with men. Who is to say Cressida isn't from a rich family herself or just doesn't actually want to snare a septuagenarian? There are wOmen out there who aren't gold diggers aren't there?

I would have thought it's about time we had an Eastern European settle in the village fully (Becoming a member of a main family rather than a peripheral). It will also make a brexit sl if they are forward planning.

So maybe Josh and Sonia will have a whirlwind romance and move in together so he doesn't have to stay at Brookfield and Josh manages a successful business and marriage.

Josh is very young and Jenny said that Sonia looked about 14. Bit early for marriage. (though I also think anyone under 28 looks very young!).

I doubt she is 14 - would Adam even be able to employ her!! She's probably similar age to Josh.

Jenny said she LOOKED about 14 ! Maybe about 16. They wouldn't be able to employ an under 16 yr old as you say. Unless she fibbed about her age on her passport.

I would imagine the pickers will all be over 18.

Are the SW trying to portray Susan as educationally subnormal or something?! She's standing there while Brian explains that it 'hasn't even gone to the BL board yet', it's just an idea etc but doesn't twig. Then only when someone else points out that Brian was a bit rattled does she realise there might be some truth in the rumour!

@SingingAvocado if you're reading I wanted to thank you again for telling me what music Jenny was listening to a while back (Henry Purcell). It's currently the only thing getting me through mountains of work. It's somehow motivating without being distracting.

Flop, that's Elona. Yes, she is Polish. I think the discussion up thread was about having a real Archer with a Polish connection so s/he can become a major character. Elona had a decent role for a very short while then completely disappeared when she moved out of the village (and Emma took over her job?). There were a few more mentions of Rosa, who was still working in Ambridge, but she quickly left too.

What did Lil do? I can't listen or LA at the moment.

Elona is Albanian (which always struck me as odd).

Miel. When Justin rented the Dower House, Lillian redecorated it to suit his taste. But not Miranda's. Lillian is now re-redecorating, to suit her taste (with Justin sticking his oar in) which includes a bath big enough for two (JD was not happy with this TMI).
Meanwhile, Justin is trying to appoint his next PA and it's Lillian's turn to stick her oar. I don't know why the mistress-turned-fiancée is so worried about gorgeous young things being around Justin all day. Ha! karma.

Ref. Lil's jealousy , I reckon it's quite true to life, there are people who are quite happy to deceive their partners e.g. the affair with Paul, but woe betide if the partner strays. Her jealousy may well end the engagement.

Oh, my mistake with Elona. I always thought she was Polish, don't know why. It's not like Albania is even close.

@Fink - when it came up that she was from Albania I was quite puzzled as I'd never met any Albanians, lots of Poles, Serbians, Slovenians, Ukrainians.
