Pip's not bad, she's just written that way! I did tweet Keri Davies a few months ago, asking if we're supposed to like Pip. He basically said 'we just write her, how you feel about her is up to you' or some such rubbish.

Delighted to hear Josh coming out with a few home truths. I do think Angus Imrie is doing a good job with that role.

Nice also to hear Ben being mentioned. It seems he talks to his uncle Kenton occasionally, if to no one else.

Re what Keri Davies said about Pip - seems reasonable to me. Nobody in fiction is universally loved or even liked. They put the stuff out there and how we react to it is our affair. I can't stand Ruth but I remember someone I liked on the old BBC messageboard saying that she always thought Ruth was one of the few characters she could bear to spend time with in real life. It takes all sorts!

Yes, but that rings true to me. How often in life does somebody who seems distinctly mediocre, or even thoroughly unpleasant, have a lot of hangers on who think the sun shines out of his/her fundament.
