I was at Paddington Station listening on my headphones. My face did this and I looked round to see if anyone else was reacting and nobody was!!

What a choice Lillian will have when Matt rocks up! Love him though I do, there's no excuse for leaving her the way he did. This story could just run and run. Exactly when will Matt reappear? What will he say to explain away his sudden departure?

Matt's reappearance has been on the Archers' snippets on R4 website for days. Which is fine, not a spoiler, 'cos narrative interest is not (whatever grouchy types at Mumsnet Towers think) all about plot. No-one doesn't go to a performance of Macbeth because they know he dies in the end, innit?

So who will she choose? Tiger or Jaguar?
