Thank you R4 for the title.

OP posts:

The one thing pip can't blame on others is the fact she lied and caused all these bad feeling through that lie.

Did josh break the fence? I'm surprised pip wasn't straight round to tell her parents when the cows escaped and blame Josh then

Megatherium · 05/04/2017 12:59

Didn't she say she would mend the fence in return for Josh doing something or other?

SaffyRosie · 05/04/2017 17:25

Pip should be put down. Now she's left Adam in the lurch.

Her ethics are very dubious.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 05/04/2017 17:59

Thanks Mega that makes sense

R4 · 05/04/2017 18:03

I heard a great quotation on Woman's Hour this morning. They were talking about an unfortunate situation arising out of human actions and a charity that was trying to deal with it. The charity was trying to encourage people not to compound the problem with further actions (like Pip with her lie upon lie) and their slogan is "one sin is better than two".

TheAntiBoop · 05/04/2017 18:04

Well I guess you still go to hell for one or a dozen

IAmNotAUserNumber · 05/04/2017 18:52

Except there's no such thing

TheAntiBoop · 05/04/2017 19:04

I didn't realise every post had to be rooted in fact

In ambridge hell would be - stuck in a room with pip for eternity

IAmNotAUserNumber · 05/04/2017 19:09

I didn't realise every post had to be rooted in fact
But, but this is about Ambridge - of course every post is rooted in fact Grin
And fuck off Ed.

EsmesBees · 05/04/2017 19:14

It would antiboop. With occasional visits from Ruth.

I feel so sorry for Emma. Feeling she's got no choice but to work three jobs. They never discuss the financial situation with Will. I wonder whether he contributes to clothes and parties for George, or just pays a set amount every month.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 05/04/2017 19:15

And fuck off Eddie - "she wants to pull her weight" - she and Clarrie have been pulling the dead weight of the Grundies for decades Angry

TheAntiBoop · 05/04/2017 19:15

Stuck in a house with pip for eternity. With Ruth knocking on the door with her faux concerned voice and the occasional 'ooooh noooo'.

DoctorTwo · 05/04/2017 19:16

Hmm, I didn't have Ed down as a sexist controller.

R4 · 05/04/2017 19:27

Why is Ed dead set against Emmur working nights? It's not as if he's never met the concept - Clarrie did it for years.
tbf, it was only the other year that Em was giving him a roasting about spending money they hadn't got and saying that they had to stick to a budget. Now she's doing it instead.Confused

selsigfach · 05/04/2017 19:32

Rex should join her at the chicken factory.

AuldHeathen · 05/04/2017 19:46

Ach, Emmur's at the end of her rope. She wants the children to have nice things. Okay as long as she stops now.

I wonder if Ed doesn't like the idea of nights due to his own childhood. I worked nights when my children were small, and about 10 years ago was considering going back to it. Ds3 - then about 10 - was adamant I should do 'no more night shifts'. I had no idea it had had that effect on him. It was awful actually. Smile

Did Ed say he'd had a cow die yesterday? I didn't think he had cows now. It was quite disturbing to hear how much he thought Pip must be doing he right thing. Blimey!

R4 · 05/04/2017 19:58

I thought that Ed was talking about Adam's cow that had died.

birdsdestiny · 05/04/2017 20:24

I think ed doesn't want Emma's life to be like clarries. He must know that his dad is a waste of space. He wants to do better for Emma. Why is emma cooking bloody eddies lunch.

AuldHeathen · 05/04/2017 20:30

That must be it, R4. Me and my cloth ears.

Presumably ClarrieLove asked her cos she couldn't bear the guilt of Eddie and Joe not getting a cooked lunch. Remember we used to discuss the idea of a feminist/lesbian commune for Helen, Kirsty, Anna. Well, clearly the Grundy women need to be invited along too. William would blow a gasket if George was with them too.

Imbroglio · 05/04/2017 20:33

I can't imagine the chicken factory is going to pay for many trampolines and she'll be exhausted Sad.

BertrandRussell · 05/04/2017 22:05

Another character transplant for Ed.that must be his 3rd.

echt · 05/04/2017 22:20

The sky is black with chickens coming home to roost for Pip, and she ought to be feeling the pain of everyone blaming her parents, and Ben copping it. Let's see how her Teflon-coated ethics will work this one.

Imbroglio · 05/04/2017 22:23

Do you mean about pip or em?

Em... he's always been funny about her working.

Pip. .. I think I detected a strong hint that he won't stay silent for ever. She shouldn't implicate him any more.

starsorwater · 05/04/2017 22:27

I would really like to see a spread sheet of the Grundy's finances. 4 working adults, Joe must have a pension, rent well below market rate knowing Oliver, no child care, no commuting. Why can't they make it work?

TheAntiBoop · 05/04/2017 22:39

I bet they are entitled to a fair few benefits as well?
