Tobes is a "praper" cocklodger though!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/03/2017 19:13

Yeah, but Rex would have responded to those crises very differently - I reckon he'd just have got on following Pip's instructions without whingeing and expecting rewards.

I know Pip is a very flawed, irritating character but I do like the way she competently deals with difficult farming stuff - during the flood, the calf and the loose cows. That situation was her fault, of course, but she didn't flap about how to deal with it.

Gruach · 10/03/2017 19:16

OMG!Shock

officerhinrika · 10/03/2017 19:18

Well...but will she choose him? I'd quite like it if she didn't tbh but don't expect that to happen!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/03/2017 19:19

Just noticed the time and I've not listened to tonight's episode so I shall depart this thread awhile with that OMG! a mystery Grin

birdsdestiny · 10/03/2017 19:40

Am not sure what I think about that. They are trying to turn him into the new Matt I think. But I don't like him as a character. Then again his character has been so inconsistent it's hard to say.

enochroot · 10/03/2017 19:45

I'll make a small wager that Matt is coming back.

GrumpyOldBag · 10/03/2017 20:05

I predicted it upthread!

BoreOfWhabylon · 10/03/2017 20:38

I am waiting for the Friday episode where, right at the end, we hear " 'Ello pusscat" followed by the dumdedums.

ppeatfruit · 10/03/2017 21:08

Well at least she'll have someone to share the Dower House with (and give Brian and Jennifer a break). She'll definitely wear his ring , she's a man's woman as I said upthread.

Oooooh wedding bells Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 11/03/2017 00:12

Matt is still on the cast list....

Presumably Peggy will be disapproving of Lillian having broken up a marriage, Brian will be delighted at cementing the relationship with Justin and I'm not sure about JD.

Got the William Shatner trail after the podcast again... they don't usually have trails. He definitely did say he wants to come over to Ambridge. So now I'm entertaining thoughts of an alternate reality in which the crew of the Enterprise are marooned in the early 21st century in a village in Borsetshire.Grin

Alleycat1 · 11/03/2017 06:09

Errol, well it's no more far-fetched than some of Soc's storylines! BoreYes, would love the wicked tiger to reappear not least because he has such a distinctive voice.

Vango · 11/03/2017 07:32

Poor old Lillian. She hasn't got those sorts of feelings for Justin but now that he's ended his marriage she's going to feel guilted into accepting his offer. Justin made my skin crawl last night.

What a choice Lillian will have when Matt rocks up! Love him though I do, there's no excuse for leaving her the way he did. This story could just run and run. Exactly when will Matt reappear? What will he say to explain away his sudden departure? Will Lillian restart an affair with him behind Justin's back? Will Brian be encouraging her to marry Justin while Jenny reminds her that Matt is her true love? Will Matt bump into Miranda and hit it off??? (ok.......too far Grin).

By the way, I listened on the iplayer last night and I swear Justin said "it's Lustin" on the voicemail message!

R4 · 11/03/2017 08:25

I know that it was all done for dramatic tension, but I found Justin's 'wooing' to be the most unromantic thing ever - I'm a serial adulterer, it was Miranda who forced the issue otherwise I would have carried on with my cake-and-eat-it, I choose you and just assume you'll say yes. Bleugh.

Alleycat1 · 11/03/2017 08:45

I said on a previous thread that the only explanation I could think of for Tiger's departure is that 'baddies' were after him for some shady dealings on his part. For Fagash's protection he whisked all her valuables into storage and told her nothing so that she would be suitably ignorant and distraught if the b's came after her. Works for me.

PseudoBadger · 11/03/2017 09:07

Any thread titles?

OP posts:
redshoeblueshoe · 11/03/2017 09:18

Lillian knows if a man marries his mistress it creates a vacancy. at least it was a Pip free zone

GrumpyOldBag · 11/03/2017 09:22

I think Lillian is going to be quite torn. Don't think she's ready to shack up with Justin as a permanent thing.

How old is she supposed to be?

R4 · 11/03/2017 09:38

Thread title
Lies and subterfuge in Ambridge? That's just not cricket!

MrsKwazii · 11/03/2017 09:43

How abput something like this Pseudo? Will the cricket team play batter this year, now that the bowling maidens are taking over(s)?

MrsKwazii · 11/03/2017 09:49

Surely things can only get batter, R4? Grin

ppeatfruit · 11/03/2017 09:53

Vango I beg to disagree about Lil's feelings for Justin, all the evidence points to her having EXACTLY "those" feelings for him. She's a passionate (if silly) woman.

Lucky though , have you seen Simon Williams?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 11/03/2017 09:55

I am waiting for the Friday episode where, right at the end, we hear " 'Ello pusscat" followed by the dumdedums

I can't stand Matt. Horrible sleazy man.

TheAntiBoop · 11/03/2017 10:50

Lillian certainly has a type

Vango · 11/03/2017 11:01

I meant the whole 'I choose you over all others, we'll be together forever' type of feelings, that Justin seems to have developed ppeat. Lillian isn't ready to get serious with him (I don't think!).
