Echt there is absolutely no way I am re- winding.

echt · 24/02/2017 21:47

I don't blame, you. I'm a sad git and just had to check. I was trying to imagine all the sound effects people going daft during that scene.

Cromwell1536 · 24/02/2017 22:29

ooh-er. So what do you think Fag Ash will do? I hate the way she's always so cringeing when challenged - like how she dissolved in tears when Tony swung into his, "What d'ye even see in him?' spiel.

BertrandRussell · 24/02/2017 22:37

That was just ridiculous. I'm losing patience.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 25/02/2017 00:07

That was a terrible episode. Fgs if they are going to pay to have Eleanor Bron at least make there a point.

Andlocal government health officers do answer their phones and contrary to popular misconception you will not get what you want by bribing them or their wives. That plot line is infuriating.

Ambridge Observer reviews Academic Archers

A familiar name in there Smile

Imbroglio · 25/02/2017 03:15

Where were Lustin? Obviously at Home Farm but in Lillian's room or somewhere else?

Fink · 25/02/2017 08:34

No, they can't have been in Lillian's room or Jennifer wouldn't have walked in on them. I got the impression they were somewhere communal - sitting room? But that's ridiculous - even if they weren't expecting Jenny home so early, there's another 4-5 people who live there or have easy access to the house (including Adam etc whom I assume would just walk in).

I'd be very Hmm to find my sister getting up to shenanigans on my sofa, regardless of her & partner's marital status.

birdsdestiny · 25/02/2017 09:55

I thought they were in lillians room because jenny knocked didnt she? You wouldnt knock to go in the sitting room.

cheminotte · 25/02/2017 10:00

Lillian's room needs a lock on it!

KingscoteStaff · 25/02/2017 10:42

What on earth was all that CLUNKY film chat about?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 25/02/2017 11:16

What on earth was all that CLUNKY film chat about?

Goodness knows and it went on forever. Followed by much wittering about whether or not David should have a shower.

redshoeblueshoe · 25/02/2017 11:44

Can someone explain parents evening to me ? How did Elizabeth have time to get round all the teachers she needed to see, plus the one she didn't need to see ? Also why does Freddie need his maths GCSE ? I thought they had always implied he wasn't bright enough to go to Uni, and I assume he would just go into the family business.
Vango - I agree about Jenny and Lillian.
The land theme to me just sounds like Jenny saying we have all the land and you don't

redshoe Apparently, if you don't pass Eng or Maths these days you have to go on taking them until you finally do.

TeenAndTween · 25/02/2017 13:49

redshoe As kingscote says whilst at college you have to keep retaking your English & maths until you pass or leave college.

re getting around the teachers:
At 6th form you have fewer subjects so probably fewer teachers. Yes she has twins so needed to see Lilly's teachers too but that might be only 4 for Lilly and 4+maths for Freddie, so perfectly doable if the timeframe is long enough. Unlike at secondary level when by all accounts it's an absolute nightmare with twins!

DoctorTwo · 25/02/2017 16:17

Shenanigans is such a great word. I'm going to start using it more, along with gubbins.

Megatherium · 25/02/2017 16:21

Anyone else gently steaming at David kindly offering to put something in the dishwasher "for" Jill?

R4 · 25/02/2017 16:47

Anyone else gently steaming at David kindly offering to put something in the dishwasher "for" Jill?

He was treating her like the hired help but I think that Jill only noticed it for the first time because Carol was there. Jill didn't help the dynamic because when David put the bowl in the dishwasher she went control-freaky and told him he'd done it all wrong. Much easier for David to then persuade himself that's it's simplest to step back and let her do it in the first place.
They have fallen into a pattern of behaviour.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 25/02/2017 19:30

I don't get all the angst about Jennifer throwing a party- she's been doing this sort of thing for gazillion years. And a party theme is just silly.

BertrandRussell · 25/02/2017 19:46

Absolutely. Parties are Jenny's thing. I don't even know why she's using Fallon - she is ace at canapés.

Shallishanti · 25/02/2017 19:59

I thought maybe Lilian and Justin were in Ruari's room??? wasn't Jenny calling out his name? which would make it even more gross

TheAntiBoop · 25/02/2017 21:03

Eddie stealing b&b customers from Lynda - knowingly or not - is going to be another unpleasant sl

I guess the archers are catching up with the 'me me me' society

Minimammoth · 26/02/2017 09:27

I don't get the JustinLil, thing either. Surely they could show a little decorum, especially as Justi is keen on his social standing and avoiding scandal.
