Quelle surprise! Rob hasn't FOTTFSOF and is in fact hiding in the bushes at Henwee's school. Discuss the latest unlikely Archers events here.

What do we want?
Realistic storylines!
When do we want them?
As soon as the writers see this!

There will be storm and tempest and at least one car crash.

Then a stand-off. Culminating in safe Gack and dead Knob.

No other reason for TW to appear after the show, other thanconclusion of the s/l and burbling re Knob's motivation. (TW played it v well though)

TheAntiBoop · 02/02/2017 19:25

Well Helen will be back in less than a minute. Henry will say robs taken Jack across the field. She should call police and then chase after him. Jack will be crying I would have thought

Vango · 02/02/2017 19:26

I think we should have a round of applause for the weather forecast advisers. It's blowing a gale where I am.

viques · 02/02/2017 19:34

biscuitmillionaire

Now that is my sort of plot. I wonder if they dare. Rhetorical question, of course they bloody won't.

Putthetulipsthere · 02/02/2017 19:37

Bit surprised Knob didn't have a car - surely Helen will catch up with him. Agree with others that this is, finally, curtains for Knob.
Have to leave now for choir practice, feeling a bit wobbly!

Kronutpearl · 02/02/2017 19:38

Argh I missed it what happened!!!

GypsyFl0ss · 02/02/2017 19:38

I think Pat Or Tone is going to be deaded in the fallout of this. All the " you're wonderful grandparents and I'm so glad you're here to help me" stuff from Kirsty sounded ominous even before Knob nicked Jack.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 02/02/2017 19:38

FFS, Helen. You only had to nip inside for the thing that Henwee (with the two-year-old vocab and delivery) had left behind. What took so bloody long?

And now they're all out there - Knob and myson, Tony, Pat, Helen (in a minute) and the weather blowing a gale and lashing rain (I do believe we foretold of the weather-harbinger days ago). The scene is set, the recipe exactly as predicted. Doom, I tell you. Although probably only for Knob.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 02/02/2017 19:39

Oh Gypsy - I think you could be right there. Great grandparents indeed.(Past tense)

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/02/2017 19:40

He told Henwee his car is parked out of sight - he headed off across the field to his car.

Eastpoint · 02/02/2017 19:47

Thank you Pseudo for the new thread & Gruach for letting me know. I turned off the radio as soon as Helen left the children in the car.

Vango · 02/02/2017 19:49

Lucky you Eastpoint! Presumably that means you're not sitting at home trembling 😁. That was the most terrifying episode since stab night.

Gruach · 02/02/2017 19:49

Flood, custard, storm ...

The Archers. Liquid drama.

Vango · 02/02/2017 19:50

Soap.

Gruach · 02/02/2017 19:56

👏

BlackeyedSusan · 02/02/2017 19:58

I did like the weather matching reality here in the west mids.

however it is all a bit, eastenderish. again. cliches all round.

TheAntiBoop · 02/02/2017 19:59

Rob wasn't terrifying though. He sounds like a scared little man now

But agree that the situation is terrifying!

If Jack is 8m he must be quite a weight in that car seat

R4 · 02/02/2017 19:59

I missed a good old barney today!Shock
Add me to the list of Lillian-disapprovers. I know that Justin is the married one and therefore more culpable but Lillian has a history of going after married men. Even worse, she only seems to find excessively rich men alluring.
I find her periodic woe-is-poor-little-me outbursts very trying. Maybe if she was less selfish and shallow she would find happiness.

I heard a trailer about Apple Tree Yard and that it was all about a woman's adultery. I decided that did not sound like fun viewing and have given it a swerve.

Vango · 02/02/2017 19:59

I liked Roy and Kate. I love that they're opposites but that they've finally developed some respect for one another. They'd be great together now. He'd keep her grounded and she'd show him that it's ok to lighten up every now and again. They're two vulnerable people who'd benefit from being in a relationship.

TheAntiBoop · 02/02/2017 20:02

Rob dying would end the sl but the whole thing has been done so badly. Him dying is just all too convenient

What would have been better was him having the access to Jack - being annoying but Helen showing you can move on. And then something happening so he ends up in court with Jess and Helen as star witnesses

Fink · 02/02/2017 20:02

I'd just like to point out that, as a Christian I personally am very opposed to child abduction. It's just part of my moral code, I don't know how all you heathens feel about it.

Vango · 02/02/2017 20:06

Now now Fink 😁😁

R4 · 02/02/2017 20:07

arf @ fink

Vango · 02/02/2017 20:08

I hope Pseudo has the next thread title ready. Thanks again for this one btw!
