Quelle surprise! Rob hasn't FOTTFSOF and is in fact hiding in the bushes at Henwee's school. Discuss the latest unlikely Archers events here.

What do we want?
Realistic storylines!
When do we want them?
As soon as the writers see this!

For some reason I'm imagining Henry setting off after Rob and getting lost in the night which will be two kids to find. I really hope this is it after tonight. Can see the outcome being rob banged up for a long time and returning as a reformed (or is he?!) character when the boys are teens.

glowfrog · 03/02/2017 15:02

In honour of FOTTFSOF, someone should have posted this card through Rob's letterbox:

He will be stopped by Lillian in her fur coat, having mistaken him for a taxi and the game will be up[ grin]

ppeatfruit · 03/02/2017 15:33

Yes tulip There are schools like that in the suburbs too. Usually with far too many children, to be able to keep an eye on them all. Often at lunchtime there's one poor member of staff on duty and maybe a dinner person if you're lucky.

Can someone clear this up for me? Hellin going back inside for the book was random wasn't it? Or are we to believe the Henwee was suitably primed to be this duplicitous by Nob?

Id like to believe Hellin anticipated an event like this (knowing that he hadn't left Ambridge), and has already rung police from the house

starsorwater · 03/02/2017 16:11

Nobody has considered that Rob might get away with kidnapping Jack. He does get away with things.

ppeatfruit · 03/02/2017 16:11

Well we'll find out tonight, the CA this afternoon said that the actor who plays knob will be answering questions after tonight's episode.

Efferlunt · 03/02/2017 16:28

Long term though what can rob do? He would have to go into hiding with Kack. I wonder if his parents would allow him to hole up in Hampshire.

redshoeblueshoe · 03/02/2017 16:31

I think the fact he is answering questions tonight means he is deaded.

TheAntiBoop · 03/02/2017 16:40

So I can't listen tonight - any volunteers to update!!!

Vango · 03/02/2017 17:05

Hellin going back inside for the book was random wasn't it?

It was a box. He said he needed it for the Transformers game that he and Elijah were going to play. I've been in that situation many times and I wouldn't have sent a 6 yo back into a locked house to get it. Much quicker to dash in and grab it myself.

TaurielTest · 03/02/2017 17:06

Gaspode, this made me proper cackle:

Toby dashing back to Brighton in an old banger whose airbag doesn't work, ideally with Pip in the front passenger seat

GrumpyOldBag · 03/02/2017 17:12

Oh dear.

birdsdestiny · 03/02/2017 17:17

Yes actor interview definitely means he s dead. Please don't bar me Grin but I am sort of going to miss him. He is very good.

Gruach · 03/02/2017 17:19

I have wine and will be home before 7 pm.

Good times!

GrumpyOldBag · 03/02/2017 17:20

I can't wait until 7 to know for sure.

GeorgeTheHamster · 03/02/2017 17:29

Why would he be dead? (Script wise)?

BigTwit · 03/02/2017 17:29

It's like dead/not dead all over again. DDD needs to do another sweepstake. I'm going for Not Dead but on the run.

BigTwit · 03/02/2017 17:32

Oops! NC fail Blush

Megatherium · 03/02/2017 17:36

Having heard Helen in major hysterics because she lost sight of Henwee for two minutes, I really hope we can skip over the bit where she discovers what has happened, but I fear that would be optimistic.

I don't see how Rob could really have primed Henry for that one, it would all be too complicated - and Henry did sound surprised to see him.

Megatherium · 03/02/2017 17:37

I don't think Toby can be married. Rex was so hacked off with him getting together with Pip that surely he would have told her.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/02/2017 17:47

Why the heck would Toby be married?ConfusedSomehow I doubt he's bound by social or moral conventions. (He is not of the demographic which contributes to MN TA threads Grin)

BertrandRussell · 03/02/2017 17:49

", I really hope we can skip over the bit where she discovers what has happened, but I fear that would be optimistic."

Oh, I don't know. Think of all the other major things we've skipped over in the last couple of weeks............

BroomstickOfLove · 03/02/2017 17:54

Do I need to get married to listen? Because I'm currently living in sin and failing to replace the horrible curtains with nice ones. And I like gin. I'm not sure if I've ever been to Brighton, though, and I haven't persuaded DP to invest in my dodgy business.

OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 03/02/2017 17:54

I too like the idea of Toby driving an old banger back to Brighton with Pip in the airbagless passenger seat. Perhaps also Shula could be out on her horse (providing the horse doesn't hurt in the crash). I wonder whether this newly-invented six-way dangerous junction could perhaps have been made safer were Route B to have gone ahead - so many TA plotlines lead back to Route B...

Much as I'd like Henwee to become a silent character, I hope he has the consideration to wait until after he's told Helen what happened.
