Avoided a non-sweary title.

The Toby thing is definitely going to have Pip in full-on gloat mode when next Jill dares criticise him 😟.

TheAntiBoop · 01/02/2017 19:20

Tobys story is bullshit and doesn't really make sense with the timings and stuff or Rex's previous comments to him

Rob aid after the surprise he would be going away for a long time. Which to me suggests he's not going to kidnap

Vango · 01/02/2017 19:22

Except that he's unlikely to tell Henry that they're going away together Anti (knowing Henry might not want to leave).

Abraiid2 · 01/02/2017 19:22

I don't think he is after Henry. He seemed to be suggesting they might not see on another again.

Vango · 01/02/2017 19:23

The surprise might be "meet me here at break and I'll give you a present for Mummy/Jack".

SaffyRosie · 01/02/2017 19:24

I only listen occasionally in the hope that the most irritating characters might have been killed off when I do revisit. In no particular order:
Helen
Rob
Toby
Pip
Jill
Ruth
Sheila
Ruth
David
Tom
Jennifer
And that awful woman who works in the shop and is married to Neil.

Oh heck! That's nearly the entire cast.

TheAntiBoop · 01/02/2017 19:25

No but he didn't need to tell Henry he wouldn't see him for a long while

Vango · 01/02/2017 19:29

I notice that Ruth annoys you so much you've listed her twice Saffy!

Shallishanti · 01/02/2017 19:30
  1. Pip- you need some EVIDENCE
  2. OMG OMG OMG
Vango · 01/02/2017 19:35

He wants Jack and isn't going anywhere without him!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 01/02/2017 19:36

Very worried now. How do I get through the next 23.5 hours?

Mootsie · 01/02/2017 19:36

I'm really disappointed that Lilian's taxi driver wasn't Rex Grin

viques · 01/02/2017 19:38

I knew it -though I didn't say anything to anyone at the time - as soon as there was that little throw away remark last week about Henry not sleeping I just knew Rob was messing with his little head.Sadly doesn't say much for the Loxley Barrett safeguarding that they failed to spot an unkempt man repeatedly talking to a pupil while lurking in the bushes outside the playground.Especially when the said child is Henry with all his history.

all Helens fault, she has never explained the situation properly to Henry (that she hurt Daddy, which was very wrong, but Daddy had done some horrible things too and was planning to be mean to Henry) typical bloody Archer family, they have so many secrets though they pride themselves on their caring and sharing.

TheAntiBoop · 01/02/2017 19:41

You know t won't be mentioned now for a few days and then bam - rob appears

viques · 01/02/2017 19:41

Saffy, who is Sheila, honestly, are there not enough irritating characters without inventing your own?

TheAntiBoop · 01/02/2017 19:42

As I normally think Henry comes across as two years younger than he is, but I am very impressed with his secret keeping skills. My dd has only just managed to stop herself shouting out where she is when playing hide or seek

Bit odd that counselling and safeguarding don't seem to have been considered for Henry

Ok, so that long speech was either:

  1. A really good actor portraying a man who's lying
  2. A really bad actor portraying a man who's telling the truth
  3. A script writer desperately filling a plot hole with a speech 7 times longer - No, Pip, let me finish - than is usually used in TA.

They've had quite a while to decide if Toby is going to be honourable or not (with no direction I'd imagine from the departed SOC). I must admit I'll be disappointed if they decide to go down the 'decent' route.

TheAntiBoop · 01/02/2017 19:57

Henry's speech is still miles above pips though. She's shockingly bad

Vango · 01/02/2017 20:04

Oh come on. She'd have been damned if she did and damned if she didn't. She's not qualified to deal with this. I'm surprised, in the interest of public service, that we've yet to hear of any social services involvement. Though I wouldn't blame the SWs for not wanting to stray too close to real life again after last year's events.

Megatherium · 01/02/2017 20:04

Pip would have to be seriously stupid to believe that story from Toby, there is simply no valid reason whatsoever why he should have kept it a secret. But then, she is seriously stupid.
