Avoided a non-sweary title.

How old is anisha? Surely too old for Rex?

TheAntiBoop · 25/01/2017 19:14

I guess anisha is going to be an expert bag pipe player?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/01/2017 19:15

Oh, she's from Glasgow. Apparently.

Vango · 25/01/2017 19:16

Well I loved it. I'm really warming to Rex. Did useless Toby pay him? Poor Jazzer's going to miss out again.

Gruach · 25/01/2017 19:16

Bad as each other those two. Eye to the main chance ...

Timetogetup0630 · 25/01/2017 19:22

Cringing at the whole Burns Night drunken Scots scenario....

BroomstickOfLove · 25/01/2017 19:26

Jazzer first showed up as a teenager, in 2000, but I think he was new to the area at that time.

I only just found out that the actor is blind.

LeninaCrowne · 25/01/2017 19:58

I disliked Jazzer's character when he was a ketamine-taking scrote, but now I like his character and his jokes, and at least I recognize its him, rather than bland soundalikes Tom/Dan/Tobes/Rex/Josh.

What's really sad as I've realized I'm a sad boring person like Roy as I enjoyed that BBC4 canal programme on iplayer, I like to get stuck into a spreadsheet and I drive a 50 mpg hatchback!

LowDudgeon · 25/01/2017 19:58

I wonder if Rob is likely to go for Lilian, since she was the one who dropped him in it?

LeninaCrowne · 25/01/2017 19:59

...oh and recently signed up to Absolute FM to enter a comp!

LeninaCrowne · 25/01/2017 20:08

Maybe Low, as she's both Helen's aunt and Justin's squeeze, so it would be a "two-for-one".

I reckon though he would be twisted enough to grab Henry and Jack.

Fink · 25/01/2017 20:44

Lenina, I think what Roy was projecting as boring wasn't so much the interests as the talking about them. For example, if someone criticised your car as being dull, you'd probably laugh it off, not give a long justification of what a sensible car it was ... and if someone asked you about pop culture you wouldn't give them a synopsis of the intricacies of canal construction ... or maybe you would, I don't know. Wink

I was also thinking that Roy's tastes sounded quite similar to mine and I'm younger than him! But then, I'm fully aware that people like Tracy would find me as dull as ditchwater.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/01/2017 20:45

Just caught up - beautifully played, Roy!

Is Bert matchmaking or just giving Rex a bit of work?

EasyToEatTiger · 25/01/2017 20:45

I find it a bit odd that Stephan dropped in out of the blue, for a couple of episodes and then Rob drops into the blue. It makes me think that Rob actor has another job. Watch out! Rob actor will be everywhere! We won't be able to turn him off! I loved Roy too. Mr beige Volvo man!

TheAntiBoop · 25/01/2017 20:48

Can't say I'm warming to anisha

SingingAvocado · 25/01/2017 21:03

I have a soft spot for Jazza. Seems mean to get him utterly plastered and then be smug about it …

Vango · 25/01/2017 21:10

Sticking my neck out again, I quite like Anisha. Jazzer only has himself to blame, as usual. Sounded to me like Anisha's encountered his type before.

TheAntiBoop · 25/01/2017 21:40

My judgement is reserved

Vet insurance is owner's decision, you would need third party insurance on most yards though due to the damage horses can do if it all goes wrong

This. I agree with easytoeattiger Rob's much anticipated return appearances, will be as infrequent as Tamsin Grieg's. Unless they recast him, who IMO would be a biiig mistake.

Rex doesn't want to be a taxi driver. Some of my friends did a bit of taxi-ing in their younger days, to bring the pennies in.

Re accents: I have a genuine North Croydon accent, which I have more or less kept after 40 years in the NE. When I go back, the accent is mostly the same, but subtly different - accents change over the decades, think Harry Enfield's take-off of old newsreels and stuff.

5OBalesofHay · 25/01/2017 22:56

No difference Francis. Vet fees are owners responsibility. How they budget for that is up to them. Third party liability is the essential and on working livery they should be covered on school insurance.

TheAntiBoop · 25/01/2017 23:12

I know he doesn't aspire to be a taxi driver. But they don't seem to plan their futures beyond a month.
