Minnesota is a no-go for Rob because even Trump doesn't like him - he made it clear on Friday that American jobs will be for Americans only - I'm sure that was in direct response to Rob's situation Grin

And no way is that the end of Rob in TA. I know he's not contesting the divorce itself, but the financial and Jack questions have to be resolved, and now Rob has plenty of time on his hands to brood and make mischief.

LillianGish · 23/01/2017 09:35

though Brian might hear more if Lilian let's something slip - if she doesn't let something slip to Brian she'll surely let something slip to Jenny, who will let something slip to Brian.

But they seemed v cold and awkward with one another the next morning when negotiating the bathroom; or have I got that wrong?

That was a day or two before the bedroom reconciliation.

Sweepingchange · 23/01/2017 09:58

Thanks Megatherium I've apologised for my mistake down thread.

Megatherium · 23/01/2017 10:00

Even if Rob disappears for now, he'll turn up at intervals - e.g. Jack's first birthday, a demand that he go to Rob's alma mater when he turns 5 etc. Then when Jack turns into a horrible adolescent Rob will start poisoning him about how Mummy favours Henry and how he really wants to be with Daddy who will turn him into a Real Man.

redshoeblueshoe · 23/01/2017 11:23

I had been hoping that Lilly would accidentally run Rob over, but after last week she's growing on me. I would have expected with SOC some sort of Valentine's Day massacre event, but I'm going to put my faith in Huge Canoe. I might just have to listen to Fridays again
For Huge Archers

Rolypoly Anisha is from Edinburgh (not Glasgow as Iamnitausername said upthread). Her family are Sri Lankan but I don't recall if she said that she was born in Sri Lanka or the UK. However it was clear that she had spent most of her life in Scotland. I for one do not hear any Sri Lankan influence in her accent, it's just standard middle class Edinburgh (close to my own).

JessieMcJessie · 23/01/2017 13:06

How odd, with apologies to Iamnotausername the BBC website who's who says Anisha was born in Glasgow. I am sure however that on air she said Edinburgh, and she doesn't sound Glaswegian to me.

EBearhug · 23/01/2017 13:14

Maybe born in Glasgow, raised in Edinburgh?

Jessie I had Glasgow in my mind because I recalled her telling Shula about it, and her Sri Lankan parents, and Shula expressing surprise that with her background she would have become a horse vet. Which I found annoying at the time because I assume there are horses and other animals and a need for vets in both those places, not just in the English shires. I'm easily annoyed by Shula.

PuppetInParadize · 23/01/2017 16:19

I can't believe I am saying this but it's time we heard from Rob's parents, especially Arsula so the plans for Rob can be moved forward. I imagine he could go back to Hampshire and then just drive up for the monthly contact with Myson, but that would cramp his 'style' too much. Whatever, he'll be back like a very bad penny soon enough.

I agree Lilian will tell JD what really happened. And she'll tell Adam who'll tell Ian, who'll tell Helen ....

BluePheasant · 23/01/2017 16:21

Just caught up. So that's it?? Knob is going to quietly disappear (for now)? Seems a bit of an anti climax. And I was still holding on to the hope that he would land in prison eventually.

On the other hand, it will be nice for Ambridge to
Move on from the pantomime villain era. Now how can we get rid of Brookfield..?

PuppetInParadize · 23/01/2017 16:34

I suppose Anisha could have grown up in one place and gone to uni in the other. Maybe even gone to boarding school in one? That would explain the poshish accent if she was schooled in Embra (as Jazzer would call Scotland's capital!). I've known horsey vets from both vet schools, Glasgow and Edinburgh and both vet schools seem to have a good reputation for equine work.

mummytime · 23/01/2017 16:36

I don't think that is the last of Rob, despite what Justin thinks.

Now either they do a big dramatic story - and do get rid of him finally.
Or he will pop back from time to time (with or without a dramatic flourish this time).

We had a scene with Jess where she told Helen that she keeps her door locked because of Rob but nothing ever seemed to come of this conversation. Shall we have reports of Rob in Hampshire being sent down for harassment or stalking of J? Thus we don't have to sit through another trial but we do get justice.Grin

R4 · 23/01/2017 16:49

oh, thank you Francis Smile

PuppetInParadize · 23/01/2017 16:54

R4, it's certainly possible. We listeners do need better closure on Rob's behaviour. The difference in the attitudes of Jess and Helen are quite marked, though H probably feels safer as she's got family and friends around her. Months ago i did wonder if there would be CCTV of Rob's visit to Jess before the trial. I recall him pointing Henry to the specific door so it couldn't have been pone house in the middle of nowhere, so presume she has neighbours. Probably too late for that now though.

Rolypoly · 23/01/2017 18:05

Thanks for the update re Anisha. I thought she was West country at first, then Midlands but was hearing more Scottish at the end so quite confused!

Vango · 23/01/2017 19:15

Lazarus!

Yes kidz, insure your horses!

IAmNotAUserNumber · 23/01/2017 21:14

So Jenny didn't tell Helen about Rob but she did tell Emma? Hmm

ErrolTheDragon · 23/01/2017 21:14

Funny name for a horse.
