Avoided a non-sweary title.

I would like to take Neil Nunes's voice to my desert island.

I typed that as dessert island first. Which sounds much better

TheAntiBoop · 22/01/2017 11:55

Agree about Kirsty - she was out of order. Was it to signal that she does like Roy but hasn't admitted it to herself

Kirsty could easily turn into one of those people who 'I say what I think, I'm a straight talker'

ErrolTheDragon · 22/01/2017 12:07

I suspect the Kirsty/Tracy spat was to start an SL with Tracy (doubtless with Susan's able assistance) starting a rather vicious rumour mill going as Kirsty's pregnancy becomes apparent. Hell hath no fury, and Tracy is a Horribin (no, autocorrect, not a Horrible....well...) so it could start a nasty feud.

ppeatfruit · 22/01/2017 12:50

Gruach I was waiting for someone else to note that very funny comment about Freddie's, ahem, bum!!!!!

Kirsty is falling into the same trap as Hell ( I'll be fine having a baby on my own) REALLY ? Like Hell has been ?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/01/2017 13:45

Listened to Friday's ep after following a link on TA Twitter feed noting 'Justin's sacking of Rob'.

Really disappointed that they'd spoilt it for me. It would have been SO much more fun had I not known what was coming - I'd missed Friday's episode and clicked the link thinking it was some sort of spoof. Not cool.

I will listen to the film with fresh ears this afternoon and pretend I don't know where it's all going.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 22/01/2017 14:36

Kirsty made a complete fool of herself in that exchange with Tracey.

She reminded me one of those sanctimonious and irritating secondary characters you get in Dickens and Austen who come a cropper by the end of the novel and get their just desserts for their interference.

TheAntiBoop · 22/01/2017 14:53

And then she had the nerve to be stroppy with Roy about 'remind me not to help you and your love life again' - he hadn't even asked her to!

ppeatfruit · 22/01/2017 17:40

But Roy is being a drip with Tracey. At least Kirstie tried to put Tracee off (though I like the character, she's like a puppy with a bone!!!) it was obvious that K. had to sit at the table with them (you could almost see Roy beseeching her to help him out).

birdsdestiny · 22/01/2017 17:44

I thought it was out of character for Kirsty and I didn't like it at all. It was the only dud bit in a fab episode.

MrsArthurShappey · 22/01/2017 17:50

Absolutely birds they'd better not be mumzilla-ing Kirsty. She's normally so level headed Angry

Vango · 22/01/2017 18:10

But Roy is being a drip with Tracey.

And Kirsty's being unfair to Tom.

ErrolTheDragon · 22/01/2017 18:30

And Kirsty's being unfair to Tom.

You think? After she went round to mend fences with him^^ (not quite literally) I wouldn't have said so.

TheAntiBoop · 22/01/2017 18:31

She meddled. Regardless of intentions she didn't do it in a nice way either. I thought she was sanctimonious

I hope her character isn't being changed

witchmountain · 22/01/2017 19:12

Oh that made me laugh! (Peggy)

witchmountain · 22/01/2017 19:12

"Well we could I suppose..."

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 22/01/2017 19:16

Well played Justin.

Rolypoly · 22/01/2017 19:17

Where is Anisha the new vet meant to be from? I can't place the accent.

flossisboss · 22/01/2017 19:34

Does anyone remember the brief exchange between Rob and Dr Locke when he first returned to Ambridge? They were introduced at some village event and Dr Locke said "don't I know you from somewhere?" Rob said a very emphatic "no, I don't think so." I've been hoping and waiting for it to come out in the story line!

Putthetulipsthere · 22/01/2017 19:34

I am wondering if Jenny will get suspicious regarding Rob's disappearance and voice her concerns to Brian? Leading to conflicting interests between her ( wanting to out Rob as the cause of the flood) and Brian wanting to keep schtum & protect Damara's reputation ....

Putthetulipsthere · 22/01/2017 19:36

Also it looks like Charlie will make a reappearance...

Vango · 22/01/2017 19:38

Yes I do Errol. Everything's on her terms. Tom's not allowed to express an opinion now lest she suspend his involvement with the baby. She's behaving exactly as Helen did when pregnant with Henry, and when moving in with Rob. The difference is that it's Tom's baby too! If she wanted to go it alone, she should have stayed away from Ambridge.

Tonight, I think Brian is going to come a cropper as a shareholder in BL if this isn't the end of the matter. I can't imagine Lillian keeping the details secret from Jenny and why should she? Justin should have told Brian the truth.

WipsGlitter · 22/01/2017 19:45

Marking. Archers

TheAntiBoop · 22/01/2017 19:57

Flossis - the sw admitted they had made a mistake as dr Locke knew knob from the paternity test so should never have said anything.

So nothing to come of that

IAmNotAUserNumber · 22/01/2017 20:04

Rolypoly Sri Lanka and Glasgow apparently. I've always found accents on TA a bit of a moveable feast though.

Re Justin - what does he do now? He knows that Rob blocked the culvert on behalf of Damara/Berrow and (possibly) caused huge damage to the village as a result. He has apparently paid off Stefan and sent off Rob with his tail between his legs. But isn't Justin now open to blackmail attempts from Stefan and even Rob? If people find out re the culvert it could cause huge problems for Damara, reputationally even if not resulting in loads of successful compensation claims.
I think both Stefan and Rob could come back to bite him.

R4 · 22/01/2017 20:13

Does Stefan's evidence amount to much? I doubt it would lead to a prosecution.
What dirty deed was Rob doing for Justin? - that could have been the source of blackmail unless Justin was clever enough to get Rob to do stuff that would come back against Rob and leave Justin squeaky clean.
I loved the way that Justin twisted presented it to Brine.
