Roll up roll up! It's nearly Apple Day in Ambridge. Grab a slice of Borset apple cake and see who's got the longest peel in The Archers.

But then, Ifti and Anisha might get together. Would thwart StSmugula, Lizzie and Alistair in one fell swoop.

selsigfach · 25/10/2016 22:00

I was a bit puzzled at the end, family were talking (the bastards). Was Smugula gawping and gulping because Neil was looking pleased to see her or because he had a face pack on?

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/10/2016 22:03

Neeyull and Soosan both had bathrobes and avocado facepacks. And were a bit... flustered.

Possibly he was also looking pleased to see her too Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 25/10/2016 22:05

I think she felt she had come at an awkward moment

How strange, I mentioned bell ringing yesterday and it was mentioned tonight they're definitely listening

enochroot · 25/10/2016 22:13

A new woman in the village opens up all sorts of possibilities.
Roy is trying to get into dating and pretending to like animals.
Tom is footloose.
Chris would 'never cheat'.
Tobee wouldn't be able to resist a new challenge.
Rex, well he's single.
Rob needs a new victim.
Anna's single.

ArgyMargy · 25/10/2016 22:52

Jeez does Shula really believe that Alistair is selling his practice just so that she can be grand master or whatever bollox thing that no one in real life has ever heard of? She is seriously getting on my nerves. I bet Alistair has an affair with Anisha, which would probably suit Shula in some bizarre martyr-ish way. Gah!

TheAntiBoop · 25/10/2016 23:33

Maybe this has been the set up all along and Shula is playing into Alastair and anishas hands perfectly....

trevortrevorslatterfry · 26/10/2016 09:13

Chilli! Grin

ppeatfruit · 26/10/2016 09:31

Yes that's what I was going to post Trevor it's like Pavlov's dog with Neil but slightly different outcome!!!!

trevortrevorslatterfry · 26/10/2016 09:40

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 26/10/2016 09:43

To be fair, Argy, even I've heard of hunt masters and I'm as townie as they come.

I do have a vague memory of Helen mentioning the legal bills at one point in the fairly recent past, but only once.

ppeatfruit · 26/10/2016 09:51

Me too LadyConstance well I was a townie, here it would be Le Maitre de la Chasse I 'm assuming I'm not a hunter Grin Oh I just remembered tomorrow is when we hear the hunt for most of the day. (not with horses though).

enochroot · 26/10/2016 09:57

Helen mentioned Anna's bill so it can't all have been legal aid. The costs for the hearings about Henry (and Jack?) have been charged to Pat'n'Tone, as far as I can tell.
The psychiatrist's report on Rob will presumably come forth in the final hearing about the children's residency. That should be interesting.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 26/10/2016 10:05

Anna represented Helen in the family court case, so Helen could have been talking about her fees for that. Lawyers on legal aid can't normally accept private payments for the work covered by legal aid.

enochroot · 26/10/2016 10:22

Ah yes, Anna did handle that one but I found that a bit confusing because Pat & Tone had previously had a different lawyer (Dominic?) representing them in trying to get Henry back.

EBearhug · 26/10/2016 11:03

There was Maggie too, for the family court.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 26/10/2016 12:09

Pat and Tone were separately represented because at that stage they were applying for residence in their own right when Helen was in prison. I think Maggie was their lawyer.

TeenyfTroon · 26/10/2016 12:51

As I am way behind with both these threads and TA, I decided to SKIP quite a lot and started reading on the page before this. You have no idea how confusing it is to find posts which start:

When I was OLD...

My brain was scrambled trying to work out what you become after you've been old, if not dead.

I think I've got it now.
The thread(s) that keep on giving. Thanks Pseudo et al.

ppeatfruit · 26/10/2016 12:58

I did a double take like you TeenyTroon I've been following the whole thread too. Grin Blush

CeciledeVolanges · 26/10/2016 12:58

Haha, I had the same thought! Except I wondered whether VERY OLD might come after OLD

MrsArthurShappey · 26/10/2016 13:55

'Chilli improves the longer you leave it' Aye aye! Wink

I love the thought of Susan cooking their sexy meal, but having to defrost it first Grin

trevortrevorslatterfry · 26/10/2016 14:21

I actually like Susan because of the way she and Neil are. They are so lovely together

ErrolTheDragon · 26/10/2016 14:24

Oh BOOP for a good helping of chilli fun.Grin

I wonder if shula will suddenly realise her own life is lacking spice?

As to the new vet character ... a vet with her own equine practice, can't see her being too tempted by the local lads somehow.

BoreOfWhabylon · 26/10/2016 14:27

BOOP indeed for the chilli con carnal Grin

DoctorTwo · 26/10/2016 17:04

BOOP for the confusion in Shula's voice at the end. :o You could hear her thinking "What. The. Fuck?!?" :o
