Roll up roll up! It's nearly Apple Day in Ambridge. Grab a slice of Borset apple cake and see who's got the longest peel in The Archers.

I can't bear another 'village vs the bulldozing corporate machine' sl. The road was bad enough

TheAntiBoop · 13/11/2016 17:46

Justin doesn't care about knobs past financial misdeeds

He wants someone to take the fall - so he will get rob to be the face of it all and of things go badly he will wash his hands of him. Justin is just becoming the stereotype they always intended him to be.

What is demara capital supposed to be?

Minimammoth · 13/11/2016 18:00

So Rob to be Justin's henchman. Was he under instructions when Charlie was manager, I wonder?

There was a suggestion by Justin that Charlie was a disappointment and was too close to the locals and forgot what he was there to do. More to the exiling to Scotland that just Berrow farm disaster.

Shallishanti · 13/11/2016 19:10

eh???
8.30???
surely the time as well as the day is set by the court??

BertrandRussell · 13/11/2016 19:20

Why don't they ever say "You'll have to talk to our solicitor" ???????????

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 13/11/2016 19:23

Just catching up. Major boops for Lillian and Oliver.

Rob has known his start-date for work for ages, he should have sorted out a revised access agreement a long time ago. Any decent care-giver knows about forward planning and back-up plans.
The problem is not indicative of PnT being awkward; it is indicative of Rob not being a good parent.

EsmesBees · 13/11/2016 19:32

I can't remember how old Jack is, but if I were Helen I'd be tweaking his routine so he was due a nap around 8.30. Therefore, either Rob would be stuck with an overtired baby or have to make awkward small talk with Tony til he woke.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 13/11/2016 19:41

"Well appointed" "executive apartment" ?

He really has lost the plot.

That episode was irritating! Why didn't Tony just say "fine turn up at 8.30am if you like but we won't be there."

TheAntiBoop · 13/11/2016 20:06

Estate agents call them executive apartments

Makes it sound a bit more New York fancy I suppose

Having seen apartments in new youth that tends to mean tiny too!

Imbroglio · 13/11/2016 20:07

Do you think Rob's shacked up with Daryl in the Container?

ColdTeaAgain · 13/11/2016 20:12

There's something about Lynda's annual panic about the village show that gives me a comforting, contented feeling.

Can some one fill me in on what the next family court hearing is about please?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 13/11/2016 20:22

I don't understand why Tony has agreed to the time change for the contact visits.

Vango · 13/11/2016 20:28

Lillian took a little bit too long to think about things in my opinion. It should have been a straightforward 'is this some kind of joke?' when he asked her in the first place.

I love Kate and Lynda, especially Kate's reaction to looking after a 7 year old. Very much in character 😁.

Shallishanti · 13/11/2016 20:43

he should not have agreed to the different time - he didn't even consult Helen did he?

Vango · 13/11/2016 20:52

Tony is a reasonable person. I suspect he probably felt that refusing to at least try to accommodate Rob would not reflect well on him at the next family court hearing.

Hopefully when the time comes, Pat and Tony will be able to discuss Rob's attitude to contact, including his instruction to P&T that they we weren't allowed to speak to Henry on a non-contact day.

ErrolTheDragon · 13/11/2016 23:14

Executive apartment? Is that like 'executive coaches'? ConfusedGrin

LeninaCrowne · 14/11/2016 07:26

executive apartment - 1 bed with video entry phone, shower room and giant telly attached to the wall - round the corner from 7-11 convenience store for those peel-and-eat ready meals.

DadDadDad · 14/11/2016 08:32

Esmes - Jack is about six months old.

TheAntiBoop · 14/11/2016 08:39

Surely by now Jack should be playing - not just sleeping and cuddling
