What day is it again?

OP posts:
OhTheRoses · 10/09/2016 17:12

Brilliant, brilliant title pseudo.

Really looking forward to tomorrow. TA, followed by Poldark.

mummytime · 10/09/2016 17:19

I'm hoping Kaz relocates to Ambridge. And Rob is a bit of a reoccurring baddy.

ibrowze · 10/09/2016 17:27

Will we ever get to hear from Miles?
If he's not shown up for his brother's stabbing and court appearance, we may never know.

Vango · 10/09/2016 17:45

Lonely in the sense that she's always needed to be in a relationship Errol. And I think it will be a long time before she trusts her own judgment again. She'll be back to normal, shouting and threatening T & P again in no time, and they'll be walking on eggshells all over again.

Kaz would be great in Ambridge. She could work as a mobile hairdresser and then set up a salon in Grey Gables. She and Emma Grundy would run each other up the wrong way and be deadly rivals, with Susan constantly interfering on Emma's behalf. She will stay away from a while, but will eventually marry someone very respectable. Possibly the vicar who eventually replaces Alan.

Scarydinosaurs · 10/09/2016 18:38

Kaz would be fantastic in Ambridge. I 100% agree she needs to move into the social housing that is going to be erected to house the Grundies.

Gruach · 10/09/2016 18:44

The Grundys are the rightful inheritors of Grange Farm.

Social housing? Pah!

Freeriver · 10/09/2016 18:45

mummytime I think Rob is the type of character who will expect/demand a great deal of access to "his son" (Jack/Gideon). I cannot see him giving up having an influence in J/G's upbringing.
A s/l that can go on for years I suppose..

Olympiathequeen · 10/09/2016 18:46

I can't agree that Helen had family support she should have turned to before getting stabby. She painted herself into a corner by alienating her family by threatening to withhold Henry from them. Then insisted the family accepted Rob as this wonderful, considerate man which she thought he was at that time. By the time things started to go wrong for Helen, Rob has charmed Pat into agreeing with everything he said and did wrt Helen and he was doing a good job of convincing them it was Helen who was unhinged. Effectively they we collaborating with Rob with the best of intentions for Helen.

-serves her right for being a spoiled brat--

Tuktuktaker · 10/09/2016 18:54

Hellbent's bulimic again, isn't she? Why wasn't that noted by anyone but me?
Did anyone hear Graham Seed on pm this evening, veeerrrrrry interesting, he now has me guessing there will be a hung jury (does that actually happen or have I been reading too many novels?).

Tuktuktaker · 10/09/2016 18:54

Oh, sorry, there can't be a hung jury with 11 of them. My stupid. Hmmm.

Abraiid2 · 10/09/2016 18:59

I don't mind the sleb jury tomorrow.

TheAntiBoop · 10/09/2016 18:59

I guess Helen didn't have a psychiatric evaluation. The trial didn't seem very well planned out. Wouldn't Anna have spoken to the psychiatrist?

BringMeTea · 10/09/2016 19:04

Delurking. I heard Graham Seed too and I felt something he said could be construed as a spoiler when asked if he had turned to the last page of the script to see the verdict. Ho hum. Roll on tomorrow...

Vango · 10/09/2016 19:15

Do you mean his reaction when he said he looked at the end of the script?

Tuktuktaker · 10/09/2016 19:15

Hi, BringMeTea - yes, that was what made me think of the wrong idea of a hung jury. I got the impression it was not a straightforward guilty or not guilty. Did you think he was definitely hinting at one or the other?

BringMeTea · 10/09/2016 19:19

Wellllll. I felt he 'gave away' the verdict with the words he used... Could just me though.

DoctorTwo · 10/09/2016 19:21

Yes they're can Tuktuk. A hung jury is usually 9-3. A judge can stipulate that a 10-2 decision is acceptable, so 10-1 or 9-2 could do it. owt else is a hung jury.

Pseudo, can you work SODOFF into your title somehow? I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that landmark needs to be celebrated. Loudly.

JudyCoolibar · 10/09/2016 19:22

Oo, what did Graham Seed say? Pretty please? Any spoilers could go in the other thread.

Scarydinosaurs · 10/09/2016 19:25

The Robs I have known in real life have not let it go. Granted, the stabbing is an escalation that isn't typically seen- but even post divorce/serious violence/abuse being exposed to friends and family etc they haven't given up. Unfortunately children provide an 18 year tie, and even when other women appear they can't relinquish that desire to have a hold over their victims.

JudyCoolibar · 10/09/2016 19:26

Sorry, should have looked at the spoiler thread first - I see my request has already been answered.

DoctorTwo · 10/09/2016 19:28

Bugger. they're=they. Can't blame autocorrect, can blame stupidity and alcohol.

JudyCoolibar · 10/09/2016 19:29

I only have direct experience of that bastard who abused DSis, and fortunately he did let go eventually after she involved the police. At least, we profoundly hope he has - it's been around four years now. Mind you, if he turned up he would have to contend with her new and lovely partner, to say nothing of DBro who was and is itching to hit him somewhere extremely painful.

Gruach · 10/09/2016 19:31

stipidity and alcohol

Aren't Saturday evenings lovely?Grin
