A once-great soap is going down the Beverley drain.

Apocalyptic weather in Ambridge. What does this foreshadow?

redshoeblueshoe · 04/08/2016 19:50

I don't know why Pip has agreed to go away with Toby, she sounds bored of him now.
Why have people spent more time discussing Scruff than they did Hellin ?

EBearhug · 04/08/2016 21:26

I think I prefer them talking about Scruff, though.

TheAntiBoop · 04/08/2016 21:27

Surely charlotte Dawson. She has a great wedding wardrobe

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 04/08/2016 21:36

I was wincing while listening to Dave and Ruth up Lakey Hill, just waiting for a "ooh, look at those two...arf...omg, it's Pip! And Toby! My eyes, my eyes!"

I was sure that was going to happen. What a bore that whole family is.

TheAntiBoop · 04/08/2016 21:39

Oops. Posted on wrong thread

Yes the Brookfield archers are dull. And pip is such a bad actress they can't get away with it.

Minimammoth · 04/08/2016 21:45

Phred has dropped off my list. How will I hang on to reality. Let me know when any cumuppance ( Yorkshire Karma) is developing.

KingscoteStaff · 04/08/2016 22:14

Somehow, somehow, this apocalyptic rain will reveal something about blocked culverts.

Could the churning water make something identifiable emerge from the depths?

Alleycat1 · 04/08/2016 22:21

Stefan's horribly decomposed body?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/08/2016 07:06

Perhaps the trial is a distraction. SOC's parting gift is that Ambridge is about to disappear down a sinkhole caused by all this rain. That's why they haven't appointed a new editor yet - the BBC is about to start again with a new show called The Farebrothers, because Trex and Pip are the sole survivors from the apocalypse. Oh, and Darrell too. Wouldn't that be great?

LyndaNotLinda · 05/08/2016 07:57

It's absurd that Pip wouldn't be horrified by Toby's idiocy. Makes no sense.

Is it the Grundys' fault that Grange Farm seems to have developed leaks?i hope not.

BertrandRussell · 05/08/2016 08:39

Yes- I just don't understand why Pip is so laid back about Toby's incompetence. The business with him letting the foxes in was unforgivable.

TheAntiBoop · 05/08/2016 08:51

She's a woman who only cares about herself - she's enjoying Toby's company so who cares about stuff like that

Whereas having a go at her dad for making a mistake makes her feel the big 'I am'

She's a really horrible character with no redeeming features.

I'm not saying we have to like all the characters but most of those who have an unpleasant side also have times where they are endearing or show genuine kindness. Eg Lynda, or Matt. Since soc has come on the scene the characters are far more one dimensional

redshoeblueshoe · 05/08/2016 08:53

Gasp0de Brew Shock
We all know if it had been Josh she would have ranted on for hours

TheAntiBoop · 05/08/2016 09:13

I suppose she is very keen for the business to fail so josh is left with egg on his face (boom tish). Just another example of her not really caring about anyone but herself - even the animals.

I think we are due a tragedy aren't we? Pip in the combine? Or being pecked to death by the hens?

redshoeblueshoe · 05/08/2016 09:30

Anti I think you are absolutely right. Its all about her (didn't SOC say that) and she wants everyone to see how great she is, and how useless everyone else is. She doesn't care if the animals die - as long as Josh looks a prat. We know he'll fail his exams, so its one more thing to gloat over. She never thinks what will be the outcome if the business fails - and that the Fairbretheran might leave, as their DF (?) might decide that he has supported them financially for long enough.
And breathe Grin

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 05/08/2016 09:40

YES! 'Oh dad you wanker, you did the wrong thing with the grass [said in front of other people, too!], you idiot fool, too late to be sorry now..... oh don't beat yourself up Tobeeee, let's find a secluded spot together.' Foul woman.

BluePitchFork · 05/08/2016 11:49

I always confuse ruth and pip. ruth's voice is too young

Gruach · 05/08/2016 12:51

Unbelievable!

Statistics show that Rex - Rex - had the highest number of appearances in July. Second equal were Toby and Fallon.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/08/2016 16:40

Appalling and also surprising. I must be dozing off during their scenes as I wouldn't have predicted that.

cheminotte · 05/08/2016 16:56

Just caught up and can't think of anything interesting to add. But I agree - Tenby ain't happening, although I predict some sort of Rob mind games - oh I thought it was the third week of August Pat, I told you we were going away in the second week.

Gruach · 05/08/2016 19:08

Finally!

BlossomHillOne · 05/08/2016 19:10

My God is Helen really that dense...

Bea · 05/08/2016 19:11

Flippin' Nora! What IS wrong with Helen????????????????????

Shallishanti · 05/08/2016 19:11

surely all the things Helen is saying add up to a classic picture of PTSD- why no psych assessment??
