Thanks for new thread Pseudo (and for not giving up!). Re Jolene nonsense, I thought she was supposed to be texting Wayne. There was a little ping sound each time she did it and she seemed to be thinking out loud. It was ludicrous anyway. But at least Pip wasn't budgeted for in that episode.

(Kenton was jealous so jolene invented a girlfriend so he would stop being jealous. Then Kenton asked to meet her so jolene, thinking on her feet, said she had died. Obviously. That's what most adults would do)

Not listened in a while as haven't been able to deal with the misery- but that chat with Cas felt like a little breakthrough tonight.

Gah! I ploughed through the whole thing but someone in RL was talking over the Rob bit and I only heard Pat and Tony's reaction. What did he say?

He said that Henry had come home from school in tears because all the other children had told him his mother was a murderer and locked up in prison. Rob told him that his mother was not a murderer but the police thought she had done something very bad and was locked up until a jury decided whether she had done it or not. He thinks this was a very restrained version of events to give a 5yo about his mother. Tony infuriated Pat by thanking Rob for telling Henry.

So we are expected to believe that none of the other children have mentioned this before; that Pat and Tony have been bottling discussing with Rob what and how to tell Henry about Helen for over two months; that he doesn't have a social worker who has made sure he knows what's going on; and that none of the staff at the school have talked to the family about telling Henry either. This defies belief.

However, we did have a positive sign at last, as EsmesBees says, because Kaz has finally got Helen to talk about Rob and has pointed out signs that he was abusive. Baby steps. Why doesn't Helen have a psychiatrist?

Wasn't it something drug-related Kaz was in for, related to Jayden's father? Can't remember whether she's on remand still or serving her sentence.

I have hopes that Helen will now talk properly to Anna, who will pull herself together and September 5th will all be fine and SOC will be gone and we can go back to normality.
