A once-great soap is going down the Beverley drain.

Baby Organix was set up by a mum in Dorset. They were a client of mine. I'm more than happy to advise Tom as well.

LIstened to the film today for the first time in ages after being on holiday with no wifi! What I can't decide is whether this week was vast improvement or did it just flow much better when listening in a long stretch. I enjoyed listening more than I have for ages. Finally some progress with Shula and Ian remembering what they know. Waiting for Jenny and David to recover their memories and for Shula to talk to Jim (what's happened to Jim?) Everything seemed to slot together with the right balance of all the plotlines - much more satisfactory than the daily tedium I've been exposing myself to in the past. In fact BOOP for the film. (Please tell me I'm not imagining it!)

While I'm finding Fallon's flapping around a bit of a stretch, nice idea to have Lynda doing the opening ceremony.

Stickerrocks · 31/07/2016 19:15

Oh dear. No resurgam for Scruff then.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 31/07/2016 19:40

Nice episode. Poor Scruff.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 31/07/2016 19:41

No PiRex.

ColdTeaAgain · 31/07/2016 21:18

Really nice episode tonight, would be lovely if it's the start of an unlikely friendship between Fallon and Lynda.

Caught up with omnibus earlier and felt the last week has had a more positive tone to it, nice to focus on other aspects of the village and people definitely seem to be realising that things weren't all that they seemed at the cottage. Am sure there will be plenty more doom and gloom before the trial though! What an utter thicko Susan is, really hope she doesn't jeopardise Neil's statement.

PresidentOliviaMumsnet · 31/07/2016 21:26

Was behind (again) but all caught up now
What did Fallon say to Lynda in the heat of the moment exactly?

BlackeyedSusan · 31/07/2016 23:54

something about needing something new in the fete as it has been the same for years...

[unhelpul]

BlackeyedSusan · 31/07/2016 23:56

wed the 20th possibly (according to the spoilers thread)

BlackeyedSusan · 01/08/2016 00:07

stuck in a rut

as long as people choose what you [lynda] want..

promote your own [lynda's] tastes...

wed 20th, 10.30mins onwards.

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 08:01

That Resurgam stone will be Scruff's grave stone aaah Sad

Reminds me of our favourite cat ever, Rosie, who was white with one blue and one green eye, and soo intelligent she loved to sleep in a hollow right by our pond , that's where we buried her Sad

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 12:01

Given the time of year is it really feasible that a top Brazilian footballer would be in felpersham? Can't be a very good player...

JessieMcJessie · 01/08/2016 12:10

I think that was the point antiboop hence why nobody had heard of him...

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 12:14

I may be showing my age here Anti but isn't there a very welcome rest from football in summer?

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 12:16

I can't see a Brazilian choosing to stay in felpersham when they could go anywhere else in the world during the summer break!

R4 · 01/08/2016 12:19

It might be feasible - aren't they into pre-season training and friendlies atm, though don't those tend to be jollies to warmer climes against foreign / different opposition?

They're not writing Lynda out, are they? No longer arranging fêtes and plays, going away to visit DGC, death of Scruff all sounds a bit ominous. However, Carole has been one of the main PR actors in recent times so they can't be getting rid of her.
I'n sad about the loss of Caroline. I used to like her, though she has had her obligatory her-character-would-never-do-that moments in recent years.

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 12:24

Great minds R4! I thought the same about Lynda, I hope not Hmm

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 12:28

Maybe the actress who plays Lynda has had enough of the crap!!

R4 · 01/08/2016 12:31

But if SOC is moving on (he is going, isn't he?) then the crap might stop. Looking at June Spencer, Carole has got years to go yet.

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 12:39

I wondered that too Anti But it's a good steady job (though the actress may well want to retire) she's round 60 isn't she?

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 12:40

Maybe she told soc sometime truths and killing her off is his revenge?

Stickerrocks · 01/08/2016 12:57

I think Lynda could be more deadly by NOT organising everything. She can be a little prophet of doom every time a change is made, swooping in to save the day at the last minute.

redshoeblueshoe · 01/08/2016 14:07

I've just caught up after a week away, I was so pleased only 7 pages to catch up on Grin I bet everyone's on holiday.
ppeat Lynda is nearly 70 !

Gruach · 01/08/2016 14:20

It does sound as if the SWs are easing Lynda out. Shock Which would be a shame as I've been looking forward to years of Mungo in Ambridge being fought over by rival grannies.
