A once-great soap is going down the Beverley drain.

But Susan is famous for not engaging her brain before opening her mouth, luckily she was only talking to Neil. She can be a beatch. I Quite enjoyed that ep. though, BOOP for it Grin

enochroot · 29/07/2016 17:28

I think she will have been annoyed that Neil agreed to do it without consulting her. I hope she doesn't manage to persuade him to refuse but I don't think Neil will go back on his word.

TopazRocks · 29/07/2016 18:53

Susan's the sort who will decide she 'always knew' about Knob's dark side once the shit does hit the fan. I hope so anyway. She is such a hypocrite.

TheAntiBoop · 29/07/2016 19:05

Susan is one of those people that it isn't worth arguing with. Whatever happens they will claim they knew all along and hadn't she said? No amount of reminding what was actually said will make her realise that she isn't always right

Gruach · 29/07/2016 19:16

BOOP forLynda!

Grin

She's so evil.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/07/2016 19:33

Another chance for Toby? I wouldn't have given him one (in any sense Grin). Yes, BOOP for Lynda. Also BOOP for Pat and Tom for once giving Tom credit for doing something right.

R4 · 29/07/2016 21:11

I must be really dense. Nothing seems to make sense. Why is it a good idea for Tom to apply for the Nuffield to do Helen's bright idea? If I was Helen I would be pissed off with him stealing my project. (I'm totally ignoring the obvious 'but this isn't novel - ask Ella's Kitchen')

TheAntiBoop · 29/07/2016 21:17

It was novel 10 years ago

Load of old organic tripe

EBearhug · 29/07/2016 22:56

There must be a market for organic tripe, and they've got beef cattle now, haven't they...

DoctorTwo · 30/07/2016 05:02

BOOP for EBear :o

ArgyMargy · 30/07/2016 08:07

Anyone seen Dad3 lately?

JessieMcJessie · 30/07/2016 08:22

Yeah he popped up on a thread about interesting things learned at school/university, challenging someone's theory about statistics and Deal or no Deal.

TheAntiBoop · 30/07/2016 08:47

I think the fact people are being noted for their absence says a lot about the audience at the moment!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 30/07/2016 11:04

Organic baby food is not exactly a ground breaking idea is it? Would there be much of a market? Kind of think that if you are bothered whether or not baby food is organic you are probably more likely to make your own baby food from scratch anyway.

And would you buy organic baby food from a producer who had an e-coli outbreak?

TheAntiBoop · 30/07/2016 11:41

Oh I'm sure they will come up with innovative pouches that can be reseated and taken about and warmed up by sitting in a cup of boiled water. It could be made up of exciting mixes of fruit and veg. The inspiration was the baby so it could be called 'Jacks kitchen'

Oh hang on...

I know the archers is fictional and they could argue they live in a world where organic baby food has never been mentioned before but that really isn't how the archers is supposed to work

ArgyMargy · 30/07/2016 15:36

OK thanks Jessie! I guess the TA stats are becoming less interesting... Grin

EBearhug · 30/07/2016 21:18

I went to Avebury today. In the church, there is a hatchment. It has a single word turning down the bottom -

Resurgam.

We laughed.

TheAntiBoop · 30/07/2016 21:24

I hope no one injured themselves on it

EBearhug · 30/07/2016 23:24

It was hung high on the wall, so I think you'd have to jump high to get it to hurt you. Though that in itself is a risk.

AnnieNoMouse · 31/07/2016 00:11

Organic baby food and milk was easily available in supermarkets 18/19 years ago. I tried Hipp organic milk when DC1 was 6 months plus - it was rubbish, it never mixed properly; and the jars of food were useful to take on days out, and definitely were better quality than other baby mush.
I suppose Tom's schtick could be that its all locally sourced.

ArgyMargy · 31/07/2016 09:52

Yes, Annie, I remember Hipp jars when my DC was tiny 22 years ago. But so expensive we could not afford them so Heinz had to do...

TheAntiBoop · 31/07/2016 10:07

Maybe the archers want to be the British equivalent of Hipp

BertrandRussell · 31/07/2016 12:02

Organic baby food was freely available 20 years ago when dd was a baby. I vividly remember being a very irritating performance parent with it. You could buy it in Superdrug!

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 31/07/2016 15:30

Yep, Hipp and Baby Organix - the latter used to give out their recipes free too!
