A once-great soap is going down the Beverley drain.

So fallon is the new Lynda? Just without a nicely rounded character

BertrandRussell · 01/08/2016 14:57

Did anyone else notice the little "moment" between Fallon and Emma at the end of the fete? "Ooh, this music makes me want to dance""Go on, then"" I will if you will" then someone interupted them. The next scandal, perhaps?

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 16:16

Yes I thought she was ripe for retirement redshoes ! I hope not though!

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 16:18

Bert C'mon now it was just a dance, I've danced with lot of women but I ain't that way inclined Grin

JudyCoolibar · 01/08/2016 16:20

I doubt that Lynda will stop organising everything. It's unlikely Fallon will want to take on village plays and pantos. Maybe they'll just work together more?

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 16:20

I often dance at parties on my own (even street parties) it's odd how repressed a lot of Brits are about dancing when they're sober! Grin

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 16:53

I don't do dancing and nothing pisses me off more than people trying to drag me onto the dance floor!!

ppeatfruit · 01/08/2016 17:41

Not even if you've had one too many?

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 17:46

Nope. These feet were not made for dancing.

Gruach · 01/08/2016 19:08

Ooh Bert - I've banned myself from working hours MN or I would have asked the same at lunchtime ...

Were they dancing together?

Gruach · 01/08/2016 19:12

(Clearly my self imposed timetable is pretty rubbish ...)

R4 · 01/08/2016 20:46

How is Rob paying for his rent and the childcare. Elf gold? Ambridges TEAs (whatever happened to them?)
Notice how he got Emma to agree to 'cash in hand'. She's now in cahoots with him and therefore can't afford to cross him or he'll dob her in to HMRC and OFSTED. He's always spinning his little webs.

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 20:48

How much time is she actually going to spend looking after Henry

And anyway, if hmrc find out he will be the one who gets in trouble - not her

Shallishanti · 01/08/2016 20:57

but if she is being paid to look after Henry more than x hours a week, she would have to be registered - hopefully Henry will say somethimg worrying about how daddy treats him and she'll report
yes!

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 21:34

How many hours before you have to be registered with ofsted?

My nanny isn't registered with ofsted and I'm starting to worry now!!

R4 · 01/08/2016 22:05

According to this a nanny doesn't have to be OFSTED-reg unless they look after more than two families.
You can breathe again now!Smile

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 22:08

Phew!! So Emma doesn't have anything to worry about then and in fact she could don rob in for insisting he pay her cash in hand

Why on earth would she agree to it when he's been such a git. And surely she has enough to do

JudyCoolibar · 01/08/2016 22:29

Given that Emma is mostly Team Helen, with any luck she'll see or hear something incriminating and take it straight back to PatnTone. As they need something foolproof to get Helen off, maybe it'll be something like "I swear I'll strangle you and this time I'll finish the job as mummy can't come after me with a knife any more". Well, it would be just as credible as everything else that is going on in that storyline.

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 22:32

And Susan will tell anyone with ears that her daughter solved the mystery and she always knew rob was a wrong'un

R4 · 01/08/2016 22:35

The stars are slowly coming into alignment. We are setting up Ian, Neil and Emma to free the BHC One. Not to mention Kaz and the legal team. In fact, it seems that anyone-that's-not-called-Archer will be her saviour.

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 22:38

What I want to know is this - when is Theresa May going to wear a 'free the BHC one' t shirt and demand Helens release in parliament?

enochroot · 01/08/2016 22:44

Emma's bound to notice that Henry's unusually repressed. She might even discover that Rob's told him Granny and Grandpa don't want him.
Will she feel bound by confidentiality because Rob's impressed on her that she works for him?

NotdeadyetBOING · 01/08/2016 23:10

Excellent opportunity for Emma to spy on Knob.

LillianGish · 01/08/2016 23:13

Has anyone on here ever paid a babysitter in any way other than cash in hand? I would have thought that was entirely standard. I think in Emma's situation I would want to take care of my friend's child, however much of a knob her DH was. It's a way of doing something for Helen who would surely be happy to think of Henwee having less time with Knob. Emma is her friend (or used to be before Knob stopped them seeing each other). She's bound to see or hear something - let's hope she actually remembers it long enough to report it.

TheAntiBoop · 01/08/2016 23:19

How many hours is he proposing? I think if you pay more than £110 per week you have to treat the carer as an employee. I can't imagine that will be the case

I'm sure most of her income is self employed so no reason for knob to get involved in her tax - she can declare if she wants to
