A once-great soap is going down the Beverley drain.

Hinting at the Murdstones and David Copperfield, I feel

Oh yes, indeed it was.

ppeatfruit · 17/07/2016 09:04

Yes as I said upthread a very heavy handed hint, esp. including the thunderstorm, at what's in store for poor little Henry. Maybe he'll run away to Pat n'Tony's?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/07/2016 19:01

I've been out all day. Amazed to see there hasn't been a single post on this thread since the film! Shock

Anyway, glancing at Twitter, I see this is the final tweet from the Plarchers today. Grin

surprised not to get anything about access visits today. no fall out from the thunderstorm then.

cricket teas and farming.

Gruach · 17/07/2016 21:45

cricket teas and farming.

... Just as it should be. Cake

BlackeyedSusan · 17/07/2016 22:15

yes it was lovely.

BlackeyedSusan · 17/07/2016 22:16

especailly as there was no smooching and slurping either.

JudyCoolibar · 17/07/2016 22:32

Why don't they ever seem to look for cricket team recruits amongst the female half of the village? After all, they have women playing in the single wicket competition.

ArgyMargy · 18/07/2016 08:01

I suspect that will finally dawn on Harrison. And he'll probably ask Pip because she can resist and pretend she doesn't want to at all, then ultimately give in and pretend she's doing it on her own terms...

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 18/07/2016 08:17

Re. Friday's - waving not a problem, but don't you dare was obviously signalling trouble ahead!

Last night was fine and would have been even better without Rex talking about This Girl I Like.

EBearhug · 18/07/2016 08:32

There have been discussions about women not being allowed to play, because Pip would be keen. Possibly Adam and Alistair or one of those with David at the start of this season, when they were bemoaning the lack of players (Rob, Tom, etc.)

TheAntiBoop · 18/07/2016 08:43

Isn't there a whole estate in the village that must have some cricketers?

redshoeblueshoe · 18/07/2016 08:49

Argy that's exactly what Pip would do Grin

Gumpendorf · 18/07/2016 11:33

It was a lovely episode. Star

JudyCoolibar · 18/07/2016 11:49

It would be good if, during the course of a day at the show, Adam could let fall a few words about the abusive behaviour towards Helen and Henry from Knob that he and Ian witnessed.

Gruach · 18/07/2016 16:42

Oh Lord! So much for my ignoring MN to concentrate on RL ... The BBC thinks Emma is Pip's most significant friend. To my knowledge they have never exchanged one single word.

Guess they Googled and misunderstood what they read. Hmm

TheAntiBoop · 18/07/2016 16:47

That's really weird. As far as I can see she doesn't have any friends on the village and she strikes me as thinking too much of herself to associate with Emma tbh

I guess they both like brothers but what else do they have in common

R4 · 18/07/2016 18:07

Emmur doesn't return the favour on her page. Not surprising, considering that they aren't friends.
Do you think that it's one of these deliberate errors that they put in to catch people out? Like map-makers do.

Gruach · 18/07/2016 18:13

I think everyone's on holiday so they had the intern cobble that page together in anticipation of the Fairbaby.

It's so ridiculous - Pip and Emma are at entirely different life stages, with different goals and absolutely nothing in common. How could they allow such nonsense to be published? (It's surely not a premature statement of some future plan?)

TheAntiBoop · 18/07/2016 18:29

Emma will be advising pip on the best way to deal with two brothers. Cos Emma handled it all so well

Gruach · 18/07/2016 18:38
  • Or perhaps specifically what to do with two brothers when you don't know which is the father of your child?

Even if it were that - they have no right to mess with known facts for the purpose of bamboozling new listeners.

TheAntiBoop · 18/07/2016 18:42

Well it seems to be becoming a habit

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 18/07/2016 19:20

Why don't P & T get proper advice and not just listen to Rob? My RL friend had issues with holidays and unreasonable ex. Had to pay but judge immediately saw it for what it was - control- and of course gave her permission. Ex with flee in his ear.

BertrandRussell · 18/07/2016 19:21

And there goes Pat- talking directly to Rob without witnesses again. Where is their solicitor?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 18/07/2016 19:21

Also loving the continuity announcers lately.
