I've just browsed Lowfield for the first time - they really don't like Pat do they!

OP posts:
LillianGish · 06/06/2016 08:17

I think Lillian and Justin having an affair would have been fine - but far more realistic if it had started during the house decorating scenes. This doesn't feel like Lillian at all - she'd definitely be up for an affair, but not one presented as such a business proposition. It just feels so seedy - as if Justin is paying her and this is an extension of what he gets for his money.

JessieMcJessie · 06/06/2016 08:28

Adam's drone would have belonged to Home Farm, not Berrow. HF and Berrow are separate, but HF grew feed for Berrow under contract. Not to be confused with the contract that HF had to run the Borchester Land estate, which Charlie fired Adam from, though they are now reinstated.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/06/2016 08:39

It was definitely Charlie's drone, not Adam's. Did it perhaps belong to the contractor which replaced Home Farm?

Minimammoth, you beat me to it. I think it was the painting Lilian and Paul bought for the flat they were renting for their trysts. My word, she's had a tacky love life, hasn't she? Hmm

BYOSnowman · 06/06/2016 08:40

It was charlie who had the drone, not Adam.

BYOSnowman · 06/06/2016 08:42

The drone symbolised modern tech being used in a way Adam saw no point for etc etc and was yet another scene for charlie and Adam to flirt over their 'old vs new' views.

I guess it has done its job in that particular scene so could then be ignored forever more

GoudyStout · 06/06/2016 10:54

Perhaps the Berrow Farm drone crashed into the swallow hole, Stefan went in to retrieve it and the hole then collapsed in on itself? Voila, three loose ends tied up in one neat and no more ridiculous than recent storylines scenario.

MrsArthurShappey · 06/06/2016 11:04

Lillian's definitely a 'the heart wants what the heart wants' sort, very passionate. I agree that she would should be distinctly turned off by a businesslike proposition.

theredjellybean · 06/06/2016 12:54

maybe there is some incriminating footage on the drone camera ??
( displays complete lack of knowledge about drones and cameras and imagining them a bit likt cctv)

maybe there is footage of Rob blokcing culvert or murdering Stefan...btw did i imagine it ( was a good way down a bottle of fizz when listening to catchup yesterday) but was there a conversation between Adam and someone about not hearing from Stefan for a while ? thought it was a very unsubtle and clunky way of getting that storyline back...

'ooh anyone heard from that polish bloke '
' no not since he conveniently vanished'
'mmm odd'

what is odd is that no one mentioned poor stefan disappearing in last god knows how many months and now we need it brought up to tie in no doubt wiht the big eastenders type rob is a knob revealing scenes...aghhhh...

theredjellybean · 06/06/2016 12:54

i think maybe the fizzy pop i was drinking had / has made me a bit conspiratorially mad

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/06/2016 13:15

Sadly no. It was Pawel Ian mentioned. Adam had a ONS with him a few years ago. Rob told Ian, having learned of it (very implausibly) from a tipsy Jennifer. Adam doesn't know that Ian knows.

AugustaFinkNottle · 06/06/2016 13:26

It was quite ironic Lillian telling Justin that Jenny wasn't likely to blab family secrets. I wonder if it was deliberate?

theredjellybean · 06/06/2016 13:58

oh ...that is my conspiracy theory down the drain...thankyou anyway, perhaps i should not be on the fizzy pop while trying hard to concentrate on TA

theredjellybean · 06/06/2016 13:59

so just so i get this all straight...adam had ons with Pawal, and a pash with charlie and rob told ian about both these events...it is really rather racey in ambridge isnt it ?

Minimammoth · 06/06/2016 14:35

I so want Ian and Adam to piece together the whole sorry Helrob saga, and tie up the loose ends at least Peggy has now seen the nasty side. C'mon Charlie, get down here with evidence.

JessieMcJessie · 06/06/2016 14:38

Sorry for drone confusion. It is yet another forgotten plot device then I suppose, only useful for a bit of "can I hold your joystick?" chat then disregarded.

Next year we'll have Shula presenting the single wicket trophy again and talking about how much she enjoyed this year's competition...

BertrandRussell · 06/06/2016 14:39

You know, I think I could cope with all the screeching 180 plot turns and complete character transplants- it's the little thinks that really piss me off. As if Jenny, with 40 years of successful hostessing behind her, would get drunk at her own party and tell Rob about her son's sex life. It's just ludicrous

kitchenunit · 06/06/2016 16:56

Urgh I agree Bert. There's absolutely no way. Jenny wouldn't ever dream of airing dirty laundry in public.

Now Lilian..... more believable if she had done it.

BertrandRussell · 06/06/2016 17:00

Or even clean linen! She's practically a professional hostess!!

RockNRollNerd · 06/06/2016 17:24

I think Jenny told Rob about Pawel in an untterly implausible scene. Helen told Rob about Charlie. Rob then used both to spill the beans to Ian just before his wedding and made sure Ian knew that Helen had kept it from him - thus ensuring Helen was isolated from her Best Friend who already hated Rob. There were a couple of weeks of Helen trying to get in touch with Ian who was frosty and basically told her to bugger off (but I'm not sure he told her why?)

enochroot · 06/06/2016 17:38

Lillian has form for sneaking a weekend in Derbyshire. She went there with Paul and bought That Painting in Ashbourne.
This time she had a view of Lathkill Dale with Justin - has to be The Lathkil Hotel.

enochroot · 06/06/2016 17:45

Ian did tell her why. She said sorry a lot and made it worse by admitting that she had spoken to Adam about it. She didn't make it clear that she had only ever told Rob so Ian believes what Rob said, that it was common gossip.
Thus Rob ensured that Ian would refuse to be godfather to 'my son'.

What I find odd is that Adam never seems to have queried Ian's estrangement from Helen.

Thymeout · 06/06/2016 17:51

I think Ian did tell H why he was pissed off with her. He said Rob had told him that everyone knew about it in the village. He was annoyed that H had told Rob about the NYE kiss but not him.

I was irritated at the time that H didn't seem annoyed with Rob for telling Ian but instead went in for a lot of 'But you're my best friend. I need you!' nonsense.

Thymeout · 06/06/2016 17:53

Sorry Enoch. x post.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 06/06/2016 18:35

Now Lilian..... more believable if she had done it

True. Very true. With a saucy laugh.

And the drone. Feh.

Oh it is all just bollocks isn't it.

BYOSnowman · 06/06/2016 18:37

And what was all this about the relief road?
