I've just browsed Lowfield for the first time - they really don't like Pat do they!

Lillian and Justin (and suspect it wasn't from her gratefulness). Boak and double boak.

BertrandRussell · 05/06/2016 19:12

Do we know why Shula wasn't at the single wicket? She's been at every one since 1847........

Gruach · 05/06/2016 19:12

Adam an Outy?

Angry
Fink · 05/06/2016 19:16

I know! I thought for a moment it was going to be a topical insert as they walked away, 'So, how are you going to vote?' [fade away into background]

No way would Adam Macy be for Brexit!

EBearhug · 05/06/2016 19:38

And Kathy would know what was going on at BF, because Kirsty does appear to be still working at GG too, though I wonder how she actually fits it in.

R4 · 05/06/2016 19:43

I thought Adam would be a Remain, too. But remember that he is the son of Boudicca.

BYOSnowman · 05/06/2016 19:46

Well he's not going to get anyone to pick his strawberries if we leave

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 05/06/2016 19:49

Not true. We had Polish pickers long before they joined the EU.

Shula was not at SW because it suited the plot not her character.

BYOSnowman · 05/06/2016 19:56

What we had before the eu is irrelevant to what we will have if we leave. Cutting eu migration is one of the leave campaigns big things.

As for Shula - she was probably washing her hair. I mean it's not like the single wicket holds any significance to her. And totally likely the commentator (and last years winner?) and not a family member would present it. They take us for fools!!

R4 · 05/06/2016 20:08

Open Farm Sunday, education about farming and a topical insert.
BOOP!

BYOSnowman · 05/06/2016 20:55

Listening to last word and they played some of the shower scene!!

GoudyStout · 05/06/2016 21:06

Why are the Fairbrethren trying to sell the idea to Justin of using their new drone for advertising Berrow Farm? Berrow Farm already has its own drone - or did I imagine that scene a few months ago where Charlie was demonstrating the Berrow Farm drone to Adam, and it was all a bit "hands on" and flirty?

selsigfach · 05/06/2016 21:07

Ugh, thank god I missed that.

BYOSnowman · 05/06/2016 21:12

I think it is further evidence that the archivist was replaced with a goldfish

AugustaFinkNottle · 05/06/2016 21:14

That referendum insert was SO clunky. Particularly the final bit where they said something like "Well, there are arguments on both sides, it's a good thing we can respectfully listen to each others' opinions". I was irresistibly reminded of those Harry Enfield take-offs of old BBC information films.

I'm wondering whether Lill keeps banging on about Paul for a reason - after all, she's never previously bothered to mention the anniversary of his death. Is she going to have a moment of enlightenment about how he and Knob shared a number of characteristics in the controlling arsehole department?

EBearhug · 05/06/2016 22:02

I think a goldfish has a longer memory.

BYOSnowman · 05/06/2016 22:15

I think this one might be dead. They probably left it in the plastic bag they won it in. When they won the 'let's see who can give the best kicking to an old favourite whilst making the most poncetastic comparisons' competition

elpth · 05/06/2016 22:20

I remember that scene about the drone and was thinking that the other day too but failed to write it on here damnit so you're not imagining it.
The lack of archivist or any working memories amongst the SWs is depressing Sad

lljkk · 05/06/2016 22:26

Has anyone talked about the painting? Lilian sold it... Yrs ago when Matt left his wife... (Yvonne?) for Lill, he hid some valuable paintings with Lillian. She was holding onto it until recently... she said she sold it. Final letting go of M, I guess.

Justin is a scumbag. Won't Miranda humiliate Lilian when she finds out? I didn't think Lilian's self-esteem had sunk so low.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 05/06/2016 22:34

Well that was dull.

BYOSnowman · 05/06/2016 22:44

It would be hard to totally humiliate lil on her home turf though and with Miranda being so snooty and distant

Northernlurker · 05/06/2016 22:45

The only thing that is worse than listening to Lillian and Justin was listening yo David and Adam. NO WAY would Adam be voting out.

selsigfach · 06/06/2016 01:51

A clunky brexit debate, as awful as these topical inserts always are, would have been much more likely between Brian and Adam, with Adam swinging the other way.

ArgyMargy · 06/06/2016 08:04

Surely farmers are a group that have consistently done better from being in Europe? Clunky, unconvincing, achingly dull dialogue - so common nowadays that I barely notice it. And yes of course sex between pensioners is fine but this feels like it's been shoe-horned in (ooh er) as yet another "aren't we cutting edge?" ishoo.

Minimammoth · 06/06/2016 08:06

I think this is a different painting Lljkk, one that Paul bought for Lil, for their love nest.
