banged head on the way down? Just fainted

A faint wouldn't last long enough. A banged head could work though. In my mind when listening, it sounded as if she stabbed him once, he fell to the floor though still speaking and she stabbed him again so didn't think of a head injury.

Boomingmarvellous · 03/04/2016 20:41

seriously thinking of not bothering to listen any more now we have gone into the realms of fantasy. It needed a realistic outcome. This is utter crap.

I probably will listen but how does this reflect real life domestic abuse?

EasyToEatTiger · 03/04/2016 20:41

I don't think she had thought she would be in danger, but I am confused about leaving a half packed bag on the bed, putting Henwee to bed, making supper, and telling him her plans. I think she thinks she's killed him, but you have to stab the right place. Was Rob trying to make her kill herself with the knife? She didn't take it of her own volition so instead of thumping him, well, she thumped him with a knife in her hand, which he had forced her to take. I think it's unlikely to be the end of Rob. Poor Helen and Henry. Anyway it has ramped up the violence, and if Rob rises from the dead, no bars will be held. Or they probably will.

The save Helen Titchener just giving page has been rehearsed as her legal fund. Donations are going through the roof. Last week it had raised £76k, tonight it stands at over £86k with more coming in by the minute.

Meanwhile Keri is sounding quite smug on Twitter about getting everyone to listen tonight. He is retweeting from a QC who has offered to represent Helen.

minifingerz · 03/04/2016 20:42

"And medically, as a former A&E doctor, I really struggle to think of a scenario where you are rapidly unconscious from being stabbed but not deaded"

Spot on, Vango.

Boomingmarvellous · 03/04/2016 20:42

If Kirsty and Hellin dump his body in the Am I will just scream Angry

BoreOfWhabylon · 03/04/2016 20:43

shinynewusername As a former A&E nurse I agree with you, whch is why I think he's clunked his head on the way down, thus rendering him unconscious from HI rather than from stabbing, and will therefore be notdead.

Gut-wrenching scenes to make you stagger,
Helen stabbed him with a dagger
Lying in his bloodstained shirt
Rob got his pie and his dessert.

Pam Ayres reaction to tonight's episode

JessieMcJessie · 03/04/2016 20:47

Yes Gruach I did wonder why everyone was directing their wrath at Keri Davies!

I am not convinced that Rob would have encouraged her to kill herself, as this would also have meant the death of SOK. It was quite a big gamble to bet on her not being blue to do it. While it allowed the SW to get in a nice barb with him saying "do what Greg did" it felt to me just like a device to get a knife in her hand without her choosing to pick one up.

I have a feeling that, dead or not, we won't her directly from Rob on air again. A shame; I shall miss Tim Watson's acting.

ShiteRadioMelodrama · 03/04/2016 20:47

what a pile of steaming shite! Angry

redshoeblueshoe · 03/04/2016 20:48

Psuedo you do realise what will happen if SOC comes on here - we will all get banned for life

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 03/04/2016 20:48

It has to be a Dallas style dream sequence - surely?!

The SL has been mostly realistic until tonight.

Tomorrows episode will see Helen confused as she wakes to find the hell that is her life unchanged.

Rob will be concerned because he overdid it with her special tea.

It will spur her on to leave, properly, with help from K.

Please don't let this be the ending

BitOutOfPractice · 03/04/2016 20:49

It doesn't really matter wgo wrote the scrpt does it? They will have been writing to a scheduled story arc agreed by the whole team

Brilliant!

Swirlingasong · 03/04/2016 20:49

Don't have anything to add, and only skim-read as there are so many posts but I am absolutely furious. Whether he is dead or not, she has stabbed him. How dare they make Helen the criminal? This story could have been so helpful to so many and truly educational to many, many more and that's all been thrown away. So, so angry.

shinynewusername · 03/04/2016 20:50

I hope you are right, Bore because, if he is miraculously brought back to life by Dr Shaga-Locke draining his pericardial tamponade with a custard stirrer, I am going to be Angry

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 03/04/2016 20:50

If I was one of the women who helped them with this sl I'd feel utterly exploited and thoroughly had.

BYOSnowman · 03/04/2016 20:51

Yes - and kd is almost gleeful in his smuggery

Scarydinosaurs · 03/04/2016 20:52

What a SHIT ending. I'm so so cross.

I was with a Rob. So many things he says chills me, as it was so similar to the lines I have heard before.

I didn't kill him. I carefully left, with the support of my friends.

Useless, trite, unimaginative and ultimately, feeding into the tired narrative of weak women who will always be dominated by men. Fucking fuckers.

Fuck off, SOC. I was the one Helen fan, and you've ruined her for me.

BeaufortBelle · 03/04/2016 20:52

Two ro one on he's not dead. Rouses to hold her hostage threatening He ry

BoreOfWhabylon · 03/04/2016 20:53

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 03/04/2016 20:53

Could Helen have grabbed Henry and got the fuck out without realising that rob wasn't actually unconscious?

BertrandRussell · 03/04/2016 20:53

Yep. Rob's an abuser because of Ursula'. Helen's stabbed him. Perish the thought that anything could be a man's fault.......
