I still think he will turn out to be notdead.

cheminotte · 03/04/2016 20:20

Not listened yet, I thought Keri's instruction to do so was too good to be true. Thanks for the new thread Pseudo

BitOutOfPractice · 03/04/2016 20:21

I bet the incoming editor is bloody furious that they've been left this mess to clear up

dreame · 03/04/2016 20:21

Vango yes, true. Wouldn't he have played it sly though, rather than rage? That calm rage he has that's pretty scary. Unless he knew Kirsty had been there when he got in and wasn't saying.

BYOSnowman · 03/04/2016 20:22

That made me so cross I ended up shouting at dh. God they ruined any credibility they had.

Not on any other sites - any other reactions?

averylongtimeago · 03/04/2016 20:22

Delurking , listened to the archers for as long as I can remember over 50 years to say wtaf!
Why end it like this? Is this the only way a woman can get free then? It's a cop out, the easy way to write an ending. Am disappointed.

PseudoBadger · 03/04/2016 20:22

Did anyone watch Stag on BBC2? If so, they sang I'm Still Standing just before one of them was horribly killed, and now I'm imagining tomorrow episode with Rob gently and menacingly singing that song as Helen sleeps.... #SOChorror

Not dead. Can't be.

BitOutOfPractice · 03/04/2016 20:22

Pseudo I half expected you to get "no need to be coy, Roy" into the title

WildIrishRose1 · 03/04/2016 20:22

I'm in shock. Listened to it twice. Still shocked.Shock

Vango · 03/04/2016 20:23

Maybe the reason she wanted to have dinner and a conversation is that she was hoping he would be full of remorse about her misunderstanding of his motives? To give him another chance to convince her that he wasn't abusing her, as her close Rob-hating friend Kirsty, and former wronged wife Jess would have her believe? She loves him. She doesn't want to believe that he isn't the man she thought he was. And as it's all happened so fast maybe she just didn't think it through?

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 03/04/2016 20:23

Badly done SOC. Badly done. Irresponsible and frankly shit.

I am furiousAngry

PseudoBadger · 03/04/2016 20:25

BOOP - I was panicking a bit and as I pressed post I thought I should've done more Blush

Pretty much the same as here. I haven't read anyone praising SOC or Keri for this, put it that way. There are a lot of very pissed off people at the latest turn this SL's taken, though.

redshoeblueshoe · 03/04/2016 20:26

Could a tweety person tell us what Keri is saying ? I think Kirsty might rush in tomorrow and get an ambulance, I can even hear the monitors peep peep peep

Jellykat · 03/04/2016 20:26

I thought that was the biggest pile of crap ever, she was packed and in contact with WA. The SW should have allowed her to leave and followed with WA supporting and advising her.

I can't see any positive outcome coming out of this scenario, whatever happens next. No positive outcome for any listeners who are victims of DV whatsoever. Sad

shinynewusername · 03/04/2016 20:26

It makes no sense.

If you are planning to leave your abuser, you do it when he is out the house and your mate is there, not when he has come home and you're by yourself. FFS.

BYOSnowman · 03/04/2016 20:26

How have the charities who have been helping them reacted?

So unnecessary. It's really pissed me off!!

Vango · 03/04/2016 20:26

dreame he seemed to buy the hospital bag line though, until Helen started with the Tuna Bake conversation.

sunnydayinmay · 03/04/2016 20:27

Place marking, although I've actually had enough...

BYOSnowman · 03/04/2016 20:27

What are the percentages for abused women

Percentage killed
Percentage who kill
Percentage who leave

I'm going to take a wild guess that the first is very small

AnnieNoMouse · 03/04/2016 20:28

I was thinking the same GherkinsMummy - it would be the most credible escape from a very wrong conclusion.

I am FURIOUS with BASTARD SOC.

This SL was supposed to be sensitively done and in consultation with WA? Bollocks. Typical EE shite, and hugely disrespectful to all women who are being or have ever been in an abusive relationship. Kill or be killed is not the answer. And if it is the answer then statistically it is far more likely that Helen would be dead now, not Rob.

If Rob is dead then, to answer a qn on previous thread, self-defence will be better than diminished responsibility because the former will mean no conviction; the second a conviction for manslaughter.

I'm hoping he is not dead and when the police (not rubbish PC Plod) investigate they uncover a whole history of physical and sexual assaults by Rob and he gets sent down for ever, and Helen escapes with a tap on the wrist.

I wouldn't put it past Rob to be pretending to be dead and to have minor injuries. Although it did sound like H stabbed him once, stopped, then laid in repeatedly.

AnnieNoMouse · 03/04/2016 20:28

TASWAMA

BYOSnowman · 03/04/2016 20:28

Sorry I mean second! First is probably depressingly high

Gruach · 03/04/2016 20:29

A BOOP for you Pseudo - impressively speedy footwork. Star

Who was responsible for tonight?
