Thanks to Lancelottie for the title Flowers

I think Bert must buy some quite expensive stock cubes because the last thing coming out of the shower head were green wriggly things. They sound like herbs to me. Not your Oxo or Bisto then. Maybe Bouillion?

OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 01/04/2016 19:55

This may have been covered already, so apologies, but as Jess is a social worker, can she not raise a safeguarding concern with a contact in Borsetshire SS re Henry and particularly new baby because of DA? Am I overinvested in this?

PseudoBadger · 01/04/2016 19:56

Do you think the SWs remember she's a social worker?

OP posts:
OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 01/04/2016 19:59

Well, if the SWs didn't remember about Jess's job, we've helpfully reminded them...

OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 01/04/2016 20:01

And as for the stockcubes, I expect Bert bought them from the Bridge Farm shop - probably the last packet of upmarket organic ones before Rob's order of non-organic ones comes in.

PseudoBadger · 01/04/2016 20:02

500 posts in 36 hours?! The next thread will be called "yeah whatever The Archers" at this rate Grin

Everyone already knows I have listened to TA for decades. My X-MIL rang me up one evening and peremptorily demanded to know the name of David Archer's wife. Pub quiz.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 01/04/2016 20:05

I'm nervous that the great denouement is not going to go smoothly - Pat will get straight on the phone..... "Rob? I think you'd better come and collect Helen. She's behaving very strangely......"

gingeroots · 01/04/2016 20:12

Had to check in on this thread to make sure I'd not missed an episode where Hellin agonises about ringing Jess .

Agree ,Ruth's cackling was beyond bizarre . I think SW read this thread and rewrote tonights episode in a hurry .Manic cackling as a filler .

simbobs · 01/04/2016 20:12

It can't take more than another week can it? Hopefully we will have wifi where we are staying and I can slope off and listen to it. It doesn't help being on a different time zone, though. I still think the weekend away will be the catalyst. Helen won't admit to Knob that she's spoken to his ex, but she will surely be much more savvy around him. I just want her to look after her son properly. I can't believe that the bunny incident didn't unleash her inner tigress!

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/04/2016 20:13

And abusers are most dangerous when the abused one tries to leave Sad

Knob's not going to take this lying down.

Nor is Arsula.

simbobs · 01/04/2016 20:15

She is obviously the one who taught him the tricks of his trade. She's just a witch. The boarding school and home birth were her idea, after all.

phoebemac · 01/04/2016 20:16

There have been references to all this ending in murder haven't there. I hope they don't go in that direction but if they do I wonder if Rob will murder Jess?

I hope they don't have Helen or Jess murder Rob. It's really important that the SL shows that it is possible to get out of an abusive relationship with the right help and support.

DadDadDad · 01/04/2016 20:17

Point of information: Helen is 33 weeks

BitOutOfPractice · 01/04/2016 20:19

Why did Jess agree to meet Helen? I think I would be very tempted to go and meet the OW in those circumstances for an opportunity to gloat and look fabulous

OneMoreStepAroundTheBendIGo · 01/04/2016 20:19

not that inspiring, but thoughts for titles

When Daddy stole my wabbit?
When rapist Rob recycled my rabbit
Rampaging Rob and the rampant rabbit

Something with Jessica and rabbit in the title?

Wonders whether am on the wrong thread...

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/04/2016 20:19

Yes D^3 I realised as soon as I'd posted that it,'s too late for a termination.

Wordsaremything · 01/04/2016 20:24

I think 'an everyday tale of cuntery folk' is so brilliant as to be unsurpassable. The others are ok if you're in on the in 'joke' but also make it feel a bit cliquey .

I know I'm in a minority, but just saying.

Toomuchtea · 01/04/2016 20:25

If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, you will know that bit when the fellowship discover the last hideout of the dwarves in Moria, and they read the entry that says "We cannot get out." (Or something similar). That is how I feel trying to keep up with the threads, and indeed The Archers. I cannot keep up.

R4 · 01/04/2016 20:27

New title: remember when we used to laugh?

BitOutOfPractice · 01/04/2016 20:28

I loved the title that went something like "I'm not a pleasant tucker..."

simbobs · 01/04/2016 20:31

It is a sad and serious storyline, though. We can stand in judgement but (hopefully) aren't in this situation. I can't see how they can end this without something awful happening. Btw, I always thought that Rob had submitted someone else's dna and that Ethan was his; he just didn't want to lose Helen. Not plausible?

BeansMcCready · 01/04/2016 20:36

Nope, no DNA test conspiracy, that was confirmed by Keri Davies I think

Butteredparsnips · 01/04/2016 20:40

Run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run. Don't give the knob his fun fun fun.

Could also have Jessica Rabbit in the title,

I've never used multicoloured stock cubes. Is that the new swap shop ?

glowfrog · 01/04/2016 20:44

R4 that's a great title!

I can only come up with:

Will it all go to Helen in a hen basket? Will Rob end up Borchester Black and Blue? And who was it who decided Lent meant "borrowed" and took off with the church collection? It's the Archers!
