Helen knows she's not cracking up - Knob is an eggomaniac.

Are we eggshausted with this storyline?

If she does find proof of the boarding school idea, he's going to tell her he only did it because he was desperate to keep Henry safe from his psycho mother; and when she points out he could have achieved that just as easily by sending him to her parents, he'll start saying he couldn't trust them to keep their distance from her.

When I read about Timothy Watson's children, I was thinking how terrifying it must be to be their teachers and have That Voice coming at you across the table at parent/teacher evenings. "Now, Mrs Brown, this is very disappointing. You're giving my children an over-feminised role model. Haven't you taught them to obey? Don't you know the meaning of obedience?"

off topic from the rest of the thread - but I was very moved to hear Bert's response to Lynda's plans for open gardens - brought a lump to my throat as it was so well scripted and delivered
Sad
I do wish they would wrap up the Robb storyline with Helen leaving/kicking him out

Putthetulipsthere · 27/03/2016 18:45

Knob's behaviour has been abusive from very early on in his relationship with Hellin. I remember when he broke off their affair when Jess came to Ambridge. Henwee rushed up to him ( aged 3 I guess), Jess was curious that a child should know him well & subsequently he told Hellin in no uncertain terms to keep her child under control. It was horrible. Can't remember exactly how long ago that was, maybe 20 months.

Putthetulipsthere · 27/03/2016 18:48

I'm thinking that too easytoeat, I'm sure she's going to discover some evidence about boarding school.

MrsCampbellBlack · 27/03/2016 19:06

Peggy in her usual delightful form.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 27/03/2016 19:07

He's a cocklodger too

Stickerrocks · 27/03/2016 19:07

The worm is definitely turning with Helen's comments. Peggy has been thoroughly taken in as well as Pat.

DoSomethingKirsty · 27/03/2016 19:08

I'm confused? Helen is behaving so normally...

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 27/03/2016 19:08

Yes MrsC

Stickerrocks · 27/03/2016 19:09

I think she's stepping back and looking in on what he's doing. She doesn't want to upset Henry or Rob until it's all straight in her own mind.

DoSomethingKirsty · 27/03/2016 19:11

That would make sense.

JessTitchener · 27/03/2016 19:11

Oh do shut up Peggy

GypsyFl0ss · 27/03/2016 19:12

God I wanted Peggy to wear that cake!

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 27/03/2016 19:13

Ha Gypsy!

Stickerrocks · 27/03/2016 19:14

I do wish she would start to drop hints about his vileness to Pat whilst he's out of earshot. She needs to start a counter campaign to begin putting some doubts in Pat 's mind about how perfect he is. She should have put across her side of the school incident instead of letting Rob do all his own positive PR.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 27/03/2016 19:14

Oh the Rob love-in continues

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 27/03/2016 19:14

As if Peggy would say 'kiddies'.

GypsyFl0ss · 27/03/2016 19:15

Who need enemies when you've got those two as relatives.

Stickerrocks · 27/03/2016 19:16

If you're so flipping worried, Pat, take her out for a day and talk to her properly instead of relying on Rob to tell you what's going on.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 27/03/2016 19:16

But totally blinkered !!!

PatBot sees nothing

Shallishanti · 27/03/2016 19:16

when the scales finally fall from Pat's eyes she's going to feel SO bad

DoSomethingKirsty · 27/03/2016 19:16

At last - Halle-bloody -lujah

But I expected more tonight...

DoSomethingKirsty · 27/03/2016 19:17

Now we just need Pat to realise that Rob is the problem.
