Rob will die at Easter.
Then we can all say "He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy" Grin

Pat will now be firmly convinced that it is Helen's idea, and Helen's idea alone, to have a home birth and against Rob's wishes. Sad

I have bought the archive book and I'm going to send it to the new Ed as a present.

For a moment, I thought you mean the actor has changed, rather than the editor.

DadDadDad · 10/03/2016 20:18

sticker - ten weeks to go then*

Ahem...

Today 09:32 DadDadDad

Based on GADD, Helen is now 30 weeks pregnant.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/03/2016 20:30

From the sounds of it, I am so pleased I am now sworn off listening. Can anyone point me in the direction of Ambridge? I need to give Hellin a good slap (purely in the interests of waking her up).

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/03/2016 20:31

EBear Dear God no - I couldn't cope with any more 'new' actors in old roles (Shudders at the thought of Pip)

LillianGish · 10/03/2016 20:31

I thought Hellin was behaving entirely in character - and slightly reminding us how she got into this fix in the first place. She has to be right, she can't bear her mother to challenge her on anything. She's been singing from this hymn sheet ever since she met Knob and Pat's attempts to question whether she is doing the right thing have just driven her further into Knob's arms. But deep down she must know her mum is right otherwise why make a beeline for her in her first break for freedom? Gruach has it spot on - she's out of Blossom Hill, but she's going to turn round and go straight back. I'm very much fearing that this is leading to Hellin having some sort of a breakdown and being sent away to recuperate with Henwee packed off to boarding school and SOK in Arsula's clutches.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 10/03/2016 20:33

Coldtea I'm not usually upset by the Hell/Rob SL, usually just frustrated. Tonight's has made me very sad for a woman who has lost all control over her life.

She is not even allowed to put her sons clothes away Sad

It wasn't a creepy episode, but extremely sad.

LillianGish · 10/03/2016 20:37

I do think Pat missed an opportunity to raise the dinner party no-show.

AskingForAPal · 10/03/2016 21:12

poor Helen

RockNRollNerd · 10/03/2016 21:13

Oh Pat, Pat, Pat...

The trouble is she will shrink back now and not realise that the outburst wasn't about her it was about Knob and everything else...

Joining the BOOPs for last night's episode though - I do love the interaction between Lilian and Jennifer esepcially and I like the way Elizabeth is being brought back in as well.

recyclingbag · 10/03/2016 21:29

I know it's wishful thinking, but I'm hoping Pat isn't that stupid.

When Helen said she couldn't breathe. Pat must know it wasn't about her. She hasn't seen her or anyone for weeks. She broke down at Tom's birthday and that wasn't parent related.

Also 'everyone telling me what to do and 'my baby, my body'

Surely even Pat must be able to tell that there is something very wrong.

Boomingmarvellous · 10/03/2016 21:33

No, pat won't cotton on because this is the same old Hellin with her 'back me whether I am right or wrong' attitude.

Hellin has always been a fully paid up member of the awkward squad just as tony diplomatically put it.

🙄

Imbroglio · 10/03/2016 21:46

Bollocks. I bet Pat confides in Rob. AngryAngryAngry

DadDadDad · 10/03/2016 21:49

But will Ursula tell Rob that Helen left the house?

ColdTeaAgain · 10/03/2016 22:08

Helen will be punished for leaving the house without permission/escort, I think we are in for a very unpleasant episode tomorrow.

Pat will be added to the list of "people who just upset you darling".

There were so many hints in Helens outburst. In theory Pat should be able to read between the lines and see that her daughter is deeply unhappy...but that would get in the way of THE PLOT Hmm

Helen doesn't come across as being even remotely happy about the baby, she's bought nothing for it, none of the usual excitement building. And no one is finding this weird. Except Kirsty.

KingscoteStaff · 10/03/2016 22:11

I fear Friday night will be a listen-with-one-finger-hovering-over-the-off-button episode.

Imbroglio · 10/03/2016 22:15

Well to be fair Pat is expressing Helen's own doubts but she doesn't want to acknowledge her doubts... so she's denying it to Pat.

lljkk · 10/03/2016 22:26

Wasn't Pat once a woman who firmly spoke her mind when she knew the principles were important? She's been battered down by her willful daughter. Argh.

Even if Pat KNOWS Hell is unhappy, she also knows Hell won't accept help, Hell renders Pat helpless.

I accept you guys hate listening but Tim WhatsIsName is so good at playing 2 faced Knob, I look forward to that. There's loads of drama I find too upsetting, btw, never mind real life stories. This is fine, especially because of the far-fetched details. Just don't give me real life harm against children.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/03/2016 22:35

Are we sounding a klaxon to say 'That was a Rob-free episode' or vice versa? I forget. Anyway, I strongly suspect tomorrow won't be Rob-free. Sad

ColdTeaAgain · 10/03/2016 22:47

Knob will be back tomorrow to give Helen a lecture. I think she will be "accidentally" locked in alone at some point while Arse and Knob take Henry out for the day.

Something needs to happen to cause Kirsty and Pat to have a really good heart to heart. Pat needs someone else to confirm that all her niggling doubts are justified.

Imbroglio · 10/03/2016 22:53

Rob free but too much ursula for Helen. She went to bridge farm. On foot? I need a map!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/03/2016 22:55

It must have been on foot, I think. She wouldn't have cycled and she isn't allowed to drive. Angry

recyclingbag · 10/03/2016 23:02

Blossom Hill cottage isn't on here but Bridge Farm isn't far out of the village http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/archers/wallpaper/ambridge_640.shtml]]

DadDadDad · 10/03/2016 23:10

Gasp0de - To quote myself from yesterday:
Knob Less, Arseula eXcluded, On-switch Now = KLAXON
So klaxon is means all clear if a Titchener makes you a skin-itchener. Grin

DSClarke · 10/03/2016 23:19

Can I just say that yesterday's Hell/knob- free episode was like getting back into a lovely warm bath? 'Hello there Jenny and Lillian! Lovely to spend time with you again!'

Thanks for all the heads ups. Won't be listening tomorrow.
