I'm sorry, I don't get the point re the Rob/ doc Locke SW error? So the script was a straight introduction and the actors said "hold on we've met before" so it was changed to add the hugely unprofessional "don't I know you" line from Locke? Whereas what the SWa should ha e said is "yes dear actors we know you've met but our thorough background research suggests that docs meet patients all the time socially and would never acknowledge the fact as it would be a breach of confidentiality. "

It's a shame Robert Snell wasn't in that scene as the actor is actually a GP in real life! He's have put them straight.

So why didn't the editor edit it out before broadcast if a mistake had been made and pointed out to him? Or did he deliberately cause a frisson of speculation about the paternity test?

Perhaps if baby knob is a princess rather than prince they could name her Parsula or if a prince Toiles (assuming the golden child Miles is named after his dad)

Jessie - that was exactly my thought on the error, the explanation just raises more questions. Then there's a wider point that the SW had forgotten something that had happened just a year ago - surely someone would have pointed it out sooner?

I thought the bonding between Lil and Justin was well done, although I reckon that the SWa have just decided to gloss over Lilian's actual age and have us imagine she is early sixties.

No need for a painful affair. Justin seems to be becoming more and more enamoured with Ambridge as well as Lil - and Miranda cried off this latest jaunt. She would probably much rather stay in London/wherever than become one of the "tweeds and headscarf" set - so they'll either arrive at an understanding or quietly divorce.

Thinking about it - Matt was probably wise to run away. Lillian's marital partners invariably die.
