BYOSnowman · 21/01/2016 19:07

The wedding sl is a little meh isn't it

BYOSnowman · 21/01/2016 19:11

Matthew sounds like josh/Tom. And he sounds like he's in a studio shouting lines into a microphone

What a stirrer rob is!!

Gruach · 21/01/2016 19:11

Divide and conquer.

Why the hell should anyone ask Rob?

Angry Angry Angry
BYOSnowman · 21/01/2016 19:13

Tom sounds different.

Putthetulipsthere · 21/01/2016 19:15

Pat bot still has the rose tinted spectacles on firmly then😩😩

How could she not see that Knob was deliberately shit stirring????

Putthetulipsthere · 21/01/2016 19:18

Grrr yy Gruach why are Pat & Tom deferring to Knob anyway???

BYOSnowman · 21/01/2016 19:20

I think he did it very well!!

Putthetulipsthere · 21/01/2016 19:22

When Pat does get to see Hellin, I guess she will look so unwell, Pat will have to acknowledge the ED ( & maybe even the fact Knob has ignored it)

Gruach · 21/01/2016 19:22

He's already effectively pushed Helen out; now he's busy trying to be number one son - to Pat. In a week she'll be telling Tom that she and Tony think it best if Rob takes sole control of the shop.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 21/01/2016 19:32

Knob will get out of it by sating he has never had a pg wife before and thought that's what they all look like.

GypsyFl0ss · 21/01/2016 19:52

Yes Small with that bloody annoying " I'm so humble and unsure" crack in his voice that he does when he knows he's done wrong and he's trying to worm out of getting in trouble for it.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 21/01/2016 19:59

Either that or he'll say I've been really worried but you know Helen she just won't listen. I trued making her a lovely tea and she didn't eat it

GypsyFl0ss · 21/01/2016 20:33

Ah yes...using Helen's famed stubbornness against her!

BYOSnowman · 21/01/2016 20:41

Could he then swing to trying to force feed her? Which she would then find hugely distressing but try to hide it because of Henry witnessing it?

I can't believe pat isn't popping in to see her everyday? Your dd is pregnant and too tired to come to work anymore so you just take her husbands word for it that it's just because she's pregnant. Bullshit

R4 · 21/01/2016 21:55

Pat was going to go round to Blossom Hill. There was talk about Tom taking her, to save her driving in the dark. And Pat came back with some line about "I'm not totally decrepit, driving is no big deal" Yet she thinks it's totally reasonable for Helen not to drive?Confused She does seem to be befuddled - like at the meeting when she said "don't mind me. I'm retired. Shan't interfere in the shop" and then tells Tom off for changing Buying policy without conferring.

I did laugh when she said that Tony wouldn't be at the meeting because of some far-fetched excuse. We know the actor is not on rota at the moment, we haven't heard from Tony in ages. Don't insult our intelligence by pretending that he's there.

GypsyFl0ss · 21/01/2016 23:23

Tony can't make it, he's busy reading for a new play at the National flouncing about as Widow Twanky at the Bracknell Empire

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 22/01/2016 00:29

Just LA. Knob did exactly the same to Tom as he does to Hellin. About Pat coming to meeting "we really appreciate it, don't we Tom?" (Pawn to king 4)

And then Fallon - he's probably really tired. He's been covering lots of Hellin's shifts"

What is it about the Titcheners being so delicate that holding down 1 PT job and picking a child up from.school is too much for them in a community where most people work long antisocial hours?

Also Hellin has a headache should be ringing serious alarm bells. She had pre eclampsia. Why isn't Pat more worried?

Lovely PA move from Kirsty to the black pudding Sausage king though. BOOP.

Gruach · 22/01/2016 05:59

Well, Helen may have had a headache - but since we heard of it from Rob it is far more likely that, having prevented Helen from attending the meeting by omitting to tell her it was happening, he then had to stop Pat going to see her and thus having his evilness exposed. And when Helen does hear about it he'll gaslight her - "surely you remember I said Thursday darling ..."

JapanNextYear · 22/01/2016 06:46

I can't believe Pat hasn't been to see Helen.

bigbuttons · 22/01/2016 06:51

I can't listen any more, have to get my updates here!

BertrandRussell · 22/01/2016 06:58

It is ridiculous that Pat hasn't been to see Helen. And the "driving in the dark" thing? Give me strength!

TASWAMA

bigbuttons · 22/01/2016 07:01

I'm waiting for Helen to be hospitalised.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 22/01/2016 07:31

Really enjoyed Kirsty's nasty jibes to Tom.

As for Helen, it might be more gaslighting but he's perfectly capable of just saying to Helen 'Darling, you're looking very tired. Are you sure you're up to coming out tonight and going to this tiresome meeting? And how about Henry, is it really fair on him to drag him out again after a long day at school? Wouldn't it be better not to upset his routine and get him to bed here at the normal time. You stay with him and I'll go to the meeting. I can update you later. There's nothing that really needs your input at the moment, is there?'

Helen listens dutifully and another little bit of her soul dies. She nods and says yes, she is tired. In spite of herself, she looks unhappy. He presses further and asks if she has a headache. She clutches this straw and says yes, she has a headache. Yes, it would be best to stay at home and not see her family and not tire herself out further discussing her own business venture. Yes, she will get Henry to bed and then have a long bath and an early night. (In her head she is thinking that this makes it a lot easier not to have any supper, so it's a good thing really.)

Rob says 'After all, darling, we've got to think of the baby. I just want to look after you and our boy. It's the sensible thing to do, I'm sure you can see that. I'll tell the others when I get there. Now, off you go and make sure not to overdo it!'

WipsGlitter · 22/01/2016 08:24

On listen again. "Going for her bath" makes her sound like a baby! And the "Helen and I" think. Boke. God he is hateful.
