Just listened to Friday - we are 2 weeks from Christmas and David didn't even ask whether Ruth will be back by then?

I get the impression Adam fancied Charlie but there were no love feelings. They were one way!

Do you think a mènage á trois for Adam, Ian and Charlie would be a compromise too far?

Charlie has mellowed quite a lot with Adam's influence. He's less intolerant than he was, able to appreciate another point of view.
Adam's had someone to talk to about his plans for the farm who really understands the issues.
They've both benefited from what has been a genuine friendship and Ian is wise enough to recognise that. It's such a pity that Charlie has a broken heart and that Rob has found a way to hurt Ian.

I listened again this afternoon and noticed that as Rob started talking to Ian, George Michael's Last Christmas struck up in the background. Very apt
