We love Charlie. But we want Adam and Ian to get married. What will happen in Ambridge in the pre-Christmas thread?

Just listened to Friday - we are 2 weeks from Christmas and David didn't even ask whether Ruth will be back by then?

Thanks grauch!

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 14/12/2015 19:41

Ha ha. Rob doing the toast because there was no best man.
And there he was looking forqards to a smug fest and instead getting a gay wedding.

In. Your. Face. Knob.

DadDadDad · 14/12/2015 19:48

Er, everyone revelling in Rob's discomfort (fair enough), aren't you worried about how he'll take it out on Helen later?

Another thing - have we now (suspiciously casually and third hand) heard the last of Carol?

Given what Ms Bron was reported to have said an interview (promoting the play she's in atm) about not being sure if Carol would ever go back to Ambridge ...

elpth · 14/12/2015 19:58

Yes DDD but he'd have found an excuse to be evil to her if it had all fallen through too.

What was the daft Jennifer saying "oh I shouldn't have mentioned about Pawel to you" bit about anyway? Well yeah obviously Jenny but bit late for that now...

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 14/12/2015 20:00

Of course Dad and it has already started with the buffet/dress comment.

But we rarely have a moment where it doesn't all go Robs way, so I think we can rejoice in his discomfort and pray that people start to talk to each other about Rob & then save Helen

enochroot · 14/12/2015 20:08

Ian was distinctly frosty with Helen.

enochroot · 14/12/2015 20:10

Mention of overseas candidates for the Berrow job makes me hope that Stefan is an applicant........

Gruach · 14/12/2015 20:15

Wasn't he just?Xmas Sad

But I think the possible overseas candidate comment was purely speculation on the part of ... was it Charlie or Brian? Either way Justin wouldn't feel the need for Brian's opinion except about something pertaining to Ambridge.

Stickerrocks · 14/12/2015 20:17

Didn't Knob tell Jennifer that he could be trusted to do the right thing before the ceremony?

Toomuchtea · 14/12/2015 20:32

Yes he did - but his interpretation of the right thing, ie right for Knob.

enochroot · 14/12/2015 20:38

Unlikely, I know, but I feel sure Rob would unravel if Stefan rolled up again.

Isn't he concerned for Precious Baby if mummy stops eating? More likely he just enjoys seeing Helen react to his merest hint. Or, he wants her to starve herself so he can prove her unstable and there she was tucking in and enjoying herself. Can't have that.

Minimammoth · 14/12/2015 20:39

Oh yes yes let's have stephan. I thought it a distinct possibility that Justin might be a gay sugar daddy to Charlie.

KingscoteStaff · 14/12/2015 20:40

Debbie would be an overseas candidate...

enochroot · 14/12/2015 20:41

Indeed she would!

Dumdedumdedum · 14/12/2015 20:43

KingscoteStaff Now that would be great, but unfortunately, Justin would hardly ask advice of Brian about his own step-daughter, would he?

enochroot · 14/12/2015 20:46

Debbie would be downgrading though. Stefan would be upgrading, has experience, speaks English and knows the set-up at Berrow. It would put Rob out tremendously if someone he once looked down on got the job, especially someone who knows what he did.

Dipankrispaneven · 14/12/2015 20:46

Knob was about to tell Brine and Jenny about Charlie and Adam. He'll probably manufacture an opportunity to tell them ASAP.

Minimammoth · 14/12/2015 21:19

Anyone hear the news item about domestic abuse on pm R4 today. It looks as if Helen may be able to call the police and press charges, once she realises that she is indeed being abused.

BYOSnowman · 14/12/2015 21:57

Wasn't stefan just a lowly labourer and not 'management' material

I'm sure robs disdain was as much about the fact he was the lowest of the low at the mega dairy- not just his nationality

Do we reckon rob votes ukip?

Stickerrocks · 14/12/2015 21:58

At least Kirsty seemed to realise tonight that she simply isn't seeing Helen anymore, but perhaps she thinks that that's what Helen wants. I was hoping that Helen would blurt it out to Ian or Kirsty soon, but Rob has manipulated it so that Ian won't trust Helen anymore.

minininipie · 14/12/2015 22:06

Rob is truly truly awful. How horrible. But at least the wedding went ahead much to his disappointment - although Helen is being punished for it now. I have a horrible feeling that Ian will say nothing at all to Adam or if he does, he won't reveal any sources. So Rob's deceit and hatefulness will go on unnoticed.

KingscoteStaff · 14/12/2015 22:09

I somehow don't think Rob and Ursula need worry about Ian agreeing to be Godfather now...

SisterMoonshine · 14/12/2015 22:25

So Richard Locke is around more. Could he maybe not recognise Rob as the same man who had the paternity test?
Could Stefan have done the paternity test in his place - blackmail, paid off or something.
