On TA names, I've always been aware that most of my children were born just after or just before various characters - and have TA names - by pure chance, honestly! But I've never been so overinfested that I've checked the dates. Now, as we acquire a 21 yo this week, i realise I must have given birth just after Shula. Although our birthday boy isn't a Daniel, I think our eldest (who might or might not be a Daniel) ages with Pip. And one of our other DC has Philip as a middle name - I think he ages with Ben. We don't have a Ben though. I recall being at a coffee just after Ben Archer was born (with ds4 a babe in arms) and we - a bunch of midwives and related professions - discussing the realism or otherwise of Ben's birth.. and that was pre-Mumsnet days. BTW , we don't have an Eric but there was a pig at Bridge Farm with that name. Just saying .... I think it's nice name.

It just doesn't add up. So that's presumably the first time she's visited Ambridge. Sounds like she 'had a long drive' but she only stayed for half an hour or so then got shooed off. Why didn't Helen mention how sorry she was they couldn't make that dinner party with her parents? And it sounds like Rob is in touch via email but no mention of this ever.

Ursula was indeed dreadful - particularly the passing over of Rob's old baby stuff, in the full expectation it was going to be used.

I was surprised by the emailing between Rob and his mother. I had the impression there was absolutely no contact at all, so what is he saying, and why?

I was also rather surprised that Pat and Tony haven't been told about the blessed one being a boy. I would have thought Knob would not have been able to stop strutting that one abroad.
