Just tested the search & without a capital A at the start it doesn't know what you mean. Duh

I've had similar issues with news quiz (The News Quiz) & now show (The Now Show)

No caps, no find. Rubbish! Grin

TopOfTheCliff · 06/12/2015 21:36

Did I hear rightly that Tobes said they have only taken orders for 18 geese? That sounds a disaster if it is the total, while the Grundies had more than 36 when Joe was counting orders last week.

elephantoverthehill · 06/12/2015 21:46

Yes well I suppose it is the BBC so I must get my capital letters correct. RP even on a website. At least it didn't condescendingly ask me 'Do you mean.....'

Gruach · 06/12/2015 21:47

Didn't he mean just the orders from that afternoon?

TopOfTheCliff · 06/12/2015 21:58

I do hope you are right!

EBearhug · 06/12/2015 22:29

elephant, I go here when I need to - www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006qpgr/episodes/player

They're daft not telling Ruth. He's going to be in plaster for 4 weeks, plus recovery after that. She's only meant to be gone for two weeks, and while we may suspect it will be longer, David and Pip currently don't think that. So in theory, she'll turn up at the end of next week, David in plaster, Pip back in Brookfield (or possibly at Rex's bedside), a relief milker Ruth's never heard of in Rickyard, dealing with her cows - they didn't mention having to dose them with treacle and glycol either, did they?

You can see why Ruth might sometimes feel left out of things (even though some of what she goes on about is unreasonable.) I would have thought spouse's broken limb to be something that should always be mentioned, even if it is in terms of, "everything under control, nothing to worry about." Plus there's been no mention of health and safety; you'd think one of them might have filled in an accident form of whatever it is.

TopazRocks · 06/12/2015 23:11

This could be something or nothing but it's annoying me, so i hope one of you can clear it up for me. Which arm has David broken? I was pretty sure, when eh got back from the hospital, he said his left. Why then could he not shake hands when ?Matthew arrived durign the week? Unless he's a boy scout of course! And anyway, why would JD not ahve cut up his carrrots for him at lunch? That scene just annoyed me.

BTW I recall 'Brine' aka Chas Collingwood also saying he has never met Ruari's actor. They also do the dialogue carefully so the child actor doesn't know the whole story - in R's case the boy din't know eh was playing a child whose mother had died/was dying. Presumably with henry they protect him form the knowledge that his stepfather is an abusing pillock.

PseudoBadger · 06/12/2015 23:12

Hopefully Henry doesn't even know he's Helen's son!

Indeed, one would hope he's not aware of the link with any of them! esp Pat with her personality transplant. Very scary indeed for a youngster.

GypsyFl0ss · 07/12/2015 06:12

Grin Pseudo

My vacuum broke a couple of weeks ago and all Argos had in stock were little red Henry vacuums. This is the most irritating machine I've ever had to use but I get great and sad pleasure out of saying " come on Henry" and hearing Helen in my head as I trundle it around the house. I think I might need to get out more Smile

MeolsCop · 07/12/2015 09:55

Gypsy if the Henry starts answering back with 'Awwwwwwww-wiiiite', be afraid. Be very afraid Grin

selsigfach · 07/12/2015 10:35

I wanted to call the bump Henry and my husband said I couldn't name our child after a child in TA. Luckily it turned out to be a moot point!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 07/12/2015 11:33

By sheer chance, every member of the Gasp0de household has a first name that has been used in TA. In my husband's case, I think the name was used for an animal. Xmas Grin However, our children's names are amongst the most common ever used in the UK, so I'm afraid it wasn't a TA tribute!

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/12/2015 12:00

Please tell me your DH is called Salieri, Gasp0de. Grin

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 07/12/2015 12:38

Well, since you mention it, Bore.... Xmas Grin

Putthetulipsthere · 07/12/2015 13:02

Scary to admit but I've been listening since I was 20- & my 50th birthday is next year!! The story line with Rob & Helen has really put me off TA. I can't believe Jennifer and David aren't continuing in any way with their detective work regarding Stefan..I also can't understand how Pat is such an amazingly big fan of a Rob.... Wouldn't she think his sudden interest in organic farming all a bit strange, plus wouldn't she be appalled by Rob and Tony's argument a few weeks back?? I know the SW are making the point that Rob is a real Jekyll & Hyde character, but still....the list of people who know him for what he is is so long it makes you wonder if anyone in Ambridge ever has a good gossip!

ppeatfruit · 07/12/2015 13:02

Well that's the first time I've read the name Salieri on here! If I was into pretentious names I think I'd go for the goodie Mozart Xmas Grin.

Gruach · 07/12/2015 13:15

What became of Salieri? He would have been 8 years old now. (According to Wiki born 2007 to Constanza and Wolfgang.)

You must be subconsciously remembering ppeat!

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/12/2015 13:32

One of the llamas died - I think it was Wolfgang.

Afaiaa Lynda still has the other two.

ppeatfruit · 07/12/2015 13:40

Yes I'd forgotten Lyndas' Llamas !!! Gruach! True BoreOf we don't hear from or about them any more, to be added to the lengthening list of silent players!

I prefer alpacas myself!

enochroot · 07/12/2015 14:08

Were the llamas found a safe place during the flood?

Talking of which, I hope no one on this thread has been affected by the floods this weekend but I suppose the law of averages says there must have been.
That whole area, Carlisle to Lancaster, was my stamping ground in my youth.

Dipankrispaneven · 07/12/2015 14:14

It would be great if the flood news would trigger someone to say "Yes, whatever did come of the great flood inquiry? Did we ever find out how that culvert got blocked?"

But I'm not holding my breath.

ppeatfruit · 07/12/2015 14:30

I vaguely remember that the 2 llamas were ok during the flood, Lyns was worrying more about Scruff (with reason obviously).

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 07/12/2015 15:48

Is your dh called Daphne?

DadDadDad · 07/12/2015 16:06

I can't decide if Gasp0de's DH is called Bartleby or Otto.
