The item on Chris Evans show with Lynda Snell was great. She highlighted the real life surge in goose sales up 50 percent IIRC that is being credited to TA. She also explained tongue in cheek that actors in a naked role have to "assume the mantle" of nudity. Very funny! Well done Carole Boyd

I LA'd part in the car. Lizzie was being merely polite but he persisted in conversing as long as he could, though I wondered if he was thinking of marketing wine in the shop.
He again called the baby 'the little fellow' which is seriously weird.

Gruach · 02/12/2015 17:24

He doesn't care about what goes into the shop!

He was hoping to impress the poor ignorant (but wealthy and important) châtelaine with his superior wine knowledge. Leading to his spending every waking hour at her side advising her on the running of her stately home. Then every sleeping hour. Then, having persuaded Elizabeth to get rid of her manager and anyone else she trusts, taking over the LL finances.

Angry
enochroot · 02/12/2015 17:58

Ah, but marketing wine in the shop will be a handy excuse to arrange a further meeting with her when he will aim to get her drunk.
He's looking to the time when he's fleeced Helen of her interest in BF, & got Peggy to settle a sum on Henry and t'other one which he'll control.

He's a man with a plan - and now he's got Lizzie's brother thinking highly of him - the other person who heard what Stefan said.

Okay delurking to voice my displeasure at the robhell daaavidroof heavy story lines.

Too 2d with no input from other characters again like others on here WHERE is Tom, Fallon, Harrison, Kirsty, Emma ???? In the past there would have much discussion about a new shop opening and input from them.

Hate Daaaavid but also hate roof too so there all the whingy whiney roof conversations drive me to shouting at the radio and dh !

Patbot is ridiculous I cannot believe that a real character who hated rob and disapproved of him thoroughly is so reluctant to press Helen about his behaviour.

I love this thread btw it is great to catch up on and after a particularly annoying episode read others comments.

Keep up the good work ! Cake from the AMBRIDGE tea rooms not Rob's caff

prettywhiteguitar · 02/12/2015 18:33

Sorry much of that didn't mark sense ! Trying to type with children crawling on me. !

I am a fairly newcomer to the Archers only listening on and off since 2011, the Kirsty Tom wedding really drew me in though and I saw that coming a mile away....missed the fall though. After Kirsty and Tom I listen pretty religiously, radio can be very comforting

babybarrister Stefan was a Berrow Farm employee who saw Rob blocking hte culvert (which led to the flooding of the village). Stefan had a meeting in ?Felpersham? with Jenny and David to tell them about it, and that he was afraid, and shortly afterwards he disappeared back to ?not sure which bit of central Europe?, having been sacked by Knob. Knob told Charlie that Stefan had "family problems" and that Knob was "managing the situation" which made everyone on here wonder if Stefan would be found in a culvert or possibly in a silo...

Pavel was one of Adam's strawberry pickers from Poland a few summers ago.

Elizabeth had an abusive boyfriend before she married Nigel. I think she was pregnant by him and had an abortion. Would she go for another abusive man or would her antennae be twitching ? Would love it if she or Shula started the Rob Downfall.

Gruach · 02/12/2015 19:12

Joe cannot stay there!

Xmas Sad
enochroot · 02/12/2015 19:12

Rob doesn't know about Elizabeth's past. He just knows she rich and single.

Yes, babybarrister, it is a possibility but Stefan has never been mentioned by anyone ever again, not even as a passing thought, so no one has bothered looking for him.
Whatever happened to the flood enquiry that David was gathering evidence for? Nothing. Zilch.

FinestGrundyTurkey · 02/12/2015 19:12

Joe being brave is breaking my heart

BYOSnowman · 02/12/2015 19:14

Right. Had to de flounce to say. What the actual fuck

Joe ends up in a hostel because clarrie and Eddie can't consider sharing a one bedroom flat with him

Utter rot

So wish ds hadn't put the radio on and breaking my boycott!!

FinestGrundyTurkey · 02/12/2015 19:14

Justin asked Rob about Stefan at the hunt ball. Rob implied he'd left because Charlie was so inflexible about family problems Hmm

enochroot · 02/12/2015 19:16

Yes, my mistake. Rob got away with it again.

dumteedum.com/november-character-statistics/?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_the_archers&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=radio_and_music

Interesting stats on appearances in November, and list of characters who have been silent throughout 2015

Gruach · 02/12/2015 19:19

GrinGrinGrin

Did you notice the distinct absence of wailing when you left BYOS? That's because we knew your flounce wouldn't last long.

Welcome back.

Xmas Wink

Oh yeah, of course it's rot.

enochroot · 02/12/2015 19:19

I took that to mean that Charlie had been unsympathetic to Rob's lateness and long lunches but he neatly tacked it onto Stefan's alleged family problems.

Including a certain HWMNBN! Let's keep it that way.Grin

So, how long will the SW stretch it out before Bert finally invites Joe to bungalow-share. Lots of scope for comedy there.

Molecule · 02/12/2015 19:41

What I'm struggling to understand is why Alan hasn't become involved in the Grundy's plight. He's a vicar who serves Christmas dinner to the homeless, so he should have some experience of such situations, and he's married to the only solicitor in the area, who should surely know what their rights are. In our village the vicar would certainly be making a real effort to help.

BYOSnowman · 02/12/2015 19:43

Hmmm

Well catching up on lowfield hast filled me with much positivity either so I may flounce until next thread (unless I'm about to implode with rage again)

Is very back in the bungalow?

NotQuitePerfect · 02/12/2015 19:45

Well said Molecule

firesidechat · 02/12/2015 19:56

I thought the same. Another example of Rob's sense of entitlement.
